Yup, he cain't even appreciate his own attempt to improve upon his original releases. It is really sad that this man is unable to appreciate how the part 2s (2, 4 and 6) were improvements over the part 1s (1, 3 and 5).
What he did right:
Street, tuned and race cars in one game, a non-rivaled variety of cars and venues and an in-game course maker.
Where he failed:
Dropped some very important cars from Lister, Vector and Venturi, from the line-up, for twin-cloned Mazdas and Nissans.
Letting go some of his patronage's favorite circuits instead of adding on new tracks.
AND
Not prioritizing the course creator to remain in-game.
My biggest regret:
He never allowed us to free hand the races... by using more than one garaged car in the arcade mode or fill in the race rooms with AI driven cars from the other garages.
It's almost as if he takes 2steps backward for every step forward.
