Yes it is. If they didnt start throwing their toys out of the pram and start cancelling pre orders then they would'nt have been forced to release the unfinished game early.

Yeah, because I'm sure Kaz read the moaning and threats of pre-order cancellations on the internet, panicked and released the game.

No one forced them!!! They claimed the game was done a year prior to the November 2010 date . You keep bypassing that tid bit. Let me refresh people's memories since no one is willing to find it: https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-5-march-2010-in-japan/

So with that it quickly becomes understandable why people in a down turned economy would want their money back if they aren't getting the game when told. It's like going out to dinner and being told over and over that you have to wait for your food, I wouldn't blame people if they left and took their business somewhere else.

Exactly, especially with so many places claiming being sold out. I'm sure he was very terrified.

Some people know how to spin it, I'd encourage them to become politicians. PD has to be blamed, not fans that were being told one thing after another.

Can someone with a Twitter account ask him if they have more custom track themes planned?

I would love to know this too. I'll ask him about that, if someone want to join me, the chances are bigger for him to see it.

The Course generator feature alone could make GT5 a lot bigger than it is.

Throw in 10 more themes (I always think about the first NFS game when thinking about themes... why not alpine/mountain, city, coastal themes etc...), this plus point to point option and there you go: instant awesomeness.

Keep fooling yourselves.

Well they could start by giving us the point-to-point layouts that were shown before release and then pulled. Then a couple new themes would work fine for me right now...

They had no other choice but to release it early. People were so angered with the delays that they cancelled pre orders and PD were starting to lose sales. It seems a lot of people have no patience. I just hope they dont announce the release GT6 until they have a solid release date and that they hold off on most of the details. They should'nt give a release date until its six months off release and no more.

The excuses people make for PD. It's hilarious. Kaz said himself the game could be released at anytime, and it's the fan's fault for wanting it.

Isn't what he said "The game can be released at any time but we can always keep working on it."

It's funny the number of people that seem to remember only the first half of the quote and completely forget the second half.

Okay and...I mean it is relevant, but it only goes further to prove (which you've just done) that Sony isn't at fault, rather PD is. Which was the main reason we're at this point if you weren't aware and just jumped in. I only see one user that forgot that, which you just quoted.

Meaning what exactly???

Just translated some tweets with Google Translate, I think Kaz has pretty much confirmed Twin Ring Motegi as the final round.

Long time no see. Planning is earnestly. RT @ Yam23swbh :!? real events are expected. RT @ Kaz_Yamauchi Why let awaited climax. Planning is also real final event.
Makes no sense.

@Kaz_Yamauchi Again, I would come Motegi Twin Ring?
It was asked in Japanese so he replied like that, but this LOOKS like something we should all be able to read.

Australia could be the first in the Average Gold Ranking. http://ow.ly/bqyBY
Purrty awesome.

Kaz Dm'd me and said that GT6 will have horses in, and it will be renamed The Real Horse Racing Simulator.

So we'll be getting more Mustangs or Ferrari's?

Anyhow, hope someone can translate those tweets proper, so that we can see whether it contains anything significant, instead of posting nonsense.

But doesn't it also imply that they could release it at that moment and it would be enough to be considered a finished product? I took 'we could always keep working on it' as no product is perfect and at some point even though you want to continue working on it you have to live with those small issues and accept it as good enough, not we will leave half of the promised content out of the game and add it later. The quote was when, 2009? With what we received a year later do you really think what they had finished up to that point was good enough to sell to people? I hardly think so and PD would have real problems had they tried that.

Delays?

Pretty sure it was delayed once... (for what? one week?)

IIRC the game had a March 2010 release date for Japan that was delayed in January 2010.

Edit: yup, it was the reason I signed up for GTPlanet and I joined on Jan 10th 2010.
