FYI, I totally doctored some nasty paint chips in those first two. God my paint is horrible. Car probably isn't going any lower in the front unless one of ya'll find me some roll center adjusters. If they made them it would be slammed, but they don't don't. Meh.

Update on things gone wrong: My exhaust. It's dead, Jim. Hit a bumpy patch recently and the damn thing just up and broke off! I figured as much immediately, despite not being able to hear anything due to instantaneous dual ear drum implosion. Don't even argue - it is the loudest street car any of you have ever heard open header. Rotaries have talent.

Looks good, just don't name it Casper.
If your paint is that bad and you don't care, just get Maaco to paint it. It's better than a spray can job.

The paint is chipping because it won't adhere to the primer. The paint and primer need to be completely stripped, and that means removing all the body panels and windows and rubber seals and the whole lot.

Needs more potato-potato. Would sound nasty out of a Spec2.
Working on it :P If the exhaust didn't take over a month to arrive - if I would have ordered it forever ago when I should have - I wouldn't be having this exhaust problem right now. Whatevs.

That looks weird to me, I like at least a little roundness on the sidewalls. That's just, angled... Aside from that it looks great! 👍

Miatas had the same problem with the earlier white cars and the paint chipping off, similar cause i'm sure.

You'll notice a lot of late-80s and early-90s cars with certain types of paint that always fall apart. White in particular, but Chrysler's purple cars come to mind also. Thanks, EPA, for mandating new paint that nobody has ever used and doesn't stick to anything.

Also, who thinks I'm being lame (again) and need to lower it more?

Looks good as it is. Any lower and it's douche territory. I can't believe you're that low with coilovers and stretched tires when the roads are knocking off your exhaust system anyway.

The car really isn't that low at all. I've got plenty of clearance to go over any speed bump.

Thanks man. :guilty: I'm at least 2 inches doucher than Keef.

Although I will say, 235s are pretty much the least amount of stretch you can run on a 9 inch wheel. 245s will sit square, so it's hardly a stretch. In fact, most of the "stretch" is because the tires are designed with a curb protecter.

His exhaust fell off because it was a hunk of crap welded on to some rusted metal.

Well it sounds like you need a baja suspension to go down the highway.

Keef needs to grow a pair. Everyone who has ridden in my car, including older people, have said it's not as bad as they thought it would be.

My grandma even said that the car felt "sturdy"

They did? The paint actually put on by Mazda on my white '91 was pretty much perfect. The only sub-par bit was a repaired and repainted panel, but then that wasn't Mazda's fault.

I've read many comments on it and seen a good amount of pictures, most white if I recall. That's all I have to go on. I've seen other earlier year white ones without the problem, hit or miss I guess.

Keef, what are you intending to do with the car? "Race Car"? :)

Ah, I just realized the nt05s have a wear rating of 200, not 100 like I thought. That'll make them last a little longer. I think it looks pretty good as is but it can't be too hard to lower it for tryouts?..

You were thinking NT-01 maybe?

A lot of the hillbillies around here get the NT05 and the drag radial version, NT05R, confused.

Anyways I just got done putting my rear spacers on. Considering putting on my new front collars that Stance so kindly sent me for free. Also, I updated the first post with a mods list, a la Perfect Balance's thread. My list isn't quite as long but that's because I'm cheap.

I'll post pics of my RB exhaust pieces soon. I figured out why they call the resonator a "presilencer". It must simply prepare the exhaust to be silences, because it sure as hell doesn't do much by itself. Right now the presilencer is dumping out right underneath my floorboard and is blaring loud. Thursday and Friday there was a cop sitting down the street from my house as I left for work. When I passed he followed and then left. He was obviously checking my noise level. First time I've ever been investigated lol.

He parked 5 houses down - I was done accelerating, so I just let off the gas and cruised by. ;)

Even if he parked right behind my driveway I would just take mom's car lol.

Opinions on future wheel color?
