i am so annoyed we dont have any tight, twisty tarmac rally courses or touge in gt5 whenever i see one of these vids. My last post in this thread was over 5 years ago...

You can create some pretty narrow and twisty stuff in the track creator.

Tsuchiya has quickly become one of my favorite drivers ever since i found out about him last year. As for heel and toe its just something you have to teach yourself how to do. I'm currently trying to teach myself heel and toe and i say im making good progress.

Keiichi's TRD AE86 is getting another maintenance at TEC-ARTS getting a 7AGE HKS 1.8L kit for his TRD 1.6L 20v Blacktop 4AGE that was rebuild and made by the late Tadao Sakurai. TEC ARTS is reviving this little monster to approx. 190PS and rebuilding the engine

The poor sound quality makes the car sound like a V8. I suspect the video has been enhanced. Four cylinder cars like this one with loud exhausts typically sound like weed-whips in real life, a droning "buzz", not the warble heard in this video.

The guy does a nice job of driving the car though, I'll give him that.

Probably more than that, I remember reading it pretty much has the same preparation level as a Formula Atlantics 4AG, which hover around 240-250hp.

Definitely not a Formula Atlantic 4AG.

Sure sounds like a 20v 4AG with ITBs to me. Almost every engine of similar size with ITBs will sound like that (part of the awesomeness of ITBs) although 20v 4AGs definitely have a distinguishable tone. Also, it definitely doesn't sound like a V8.

20v 4AG
"146.8rwhp at 7008rpm
125.2ftlbs Torque at 5296rpm

Built redtop with 20v ITB's, 11.5:1 Arias Dome top forged pistons, gze crank, shot peened gze rods, hks 256 intake, 264 exhaust cams, Jubiride itb filter screens, Toda gears and Head gasket, fully blueprinted, lightened, and balanced. Haltech E8 ECU. Silkroad header with stock cat and HKS hi-power catback."

It's not a 20v but the 20v are typically slightly deeper in tone anyways.

Here one of a Miata with a BP (VVT) 1.8 and ITBs for comparison...
(The engine has cams but no other internal modifications.)

I have that video on VHS, BM vol 41. I must have watched it a million times, I love the sound of that car so much. It's 165bhp in this video, he races a civic type R and beats it.

Woah Woah What?!! You think that TRD Street Prep. Blacktop ITB 20V 4A-GEU sounds like a V8?!! Damn you going to need to rethink again

If it's his TRD AE86 Trueno Super Street, it's a TRD Street Prep. 20v Blacktop 4AGE with the ITBs with a AE92 Conn. Rod, Engine Block, Pistons & Compressions. If it's his TRD N2 AE86, it has 1 or 2 parts from Formula Atlantic.
