Nevermind the 9 minutes of same old stunts which get old about a minute in, what is up with that Focus at the very, very end? I want to know more!

Looks like a specially designed RS for rally cross, since he was a contributing player to the all new road going version of the RS.

Well yeah, that's obvious, but are they hinting Ford's going back to the Focus for RallyX and perhaps WRC? Or is that just Ken's newest project?

Answers Block, we want answers :D

There is no talk of funding anything WRC wise from Ford, RallyX is cheaper and has a following in the that states but there is also no talk of anything factory. Also if it's obvious, I'm not sure what you really want as an answer other than a simple blanket statement on the car.

As of now it just seems like the car that will be built for the 9th video, and for people to look forward to. However, if anyone breaks news of a factory deal it will be the WRC/IRC thread.

Doesn't say in the video that it's for Gymkhana 9 'coming soon'? I'll need to watch it again to see

Edit: Yeah it's says just after the car is shown 'Coming soon to Gymkhana nine'

Fors Focus RX. Must be a specialized, hillclimb version of the car. That is if we follow the 600-800 HP power figure Ken Block Gymkhana Cars.

RX cars have seen 600 hp before, so it's possible for it to be one. Just strange naming for a car that would only show up in a Gymkhana video.

The rumour is it's this year's Hoonigan build for him and Bakkerud. OMSE will be using Fiestas, so will Austria, so there's little point in developing a car that's already out there in various guises.

Lukacs Kornel, Jos Kuijpers, Koen Pauwels, Joaquim Santos and Jos Jansen are the only people off the top of my head who ever run a Mk3 Focus Supercar.

Yeah, it would make sense I guess. I figured since M-Sport builds his Fiesta that they would also have a part in that Focus. And since M-Sport is pretty much Ford's team, I thought that was an announcement ahead of an announcement, but I guess not.

Hardly M-Sport doesn't get nearly that much funding from Ford compared to when they were a full on Factory team, I don't even know if they'd fall under semi-factory like that of the Abu Dhabi Citroen team. As @Bo best put it, the Fiestas are so over used, that unless they were going to force an across the board switch what would be the point of development, I'd say this is all Block design and money. Too bad it'd be nice to see the Focus back in WRC with as much work as ford put into the road car.

Looks much different without all the Land Cruisers and Patrols on the roads

So this is the official statement about the Ford Focus RS RX, posted on Facebook:

Introducing: my all-new 2016 rallycross machine, the Ford Focus RS RX!! Those of you who stuck around ‘till the very end of Gymkhana EIGHT caught a glimpse of this beauty, built as a global collaboration between M-Sport and Ford Performance. SO stoked to race this thing in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship (along with Andreas Bakkerud) - AND use it in Gymkhana NINE later this year.

Well good call @fred I didn't think Ford helped much if at all in this, but I was wrong. I'm not surprised that M-Sport helped him with it as you put it too. Anyways good speculation, sorry I didn't believe enough.

Glad to see it is built for RallyX as well and not just one of his videos so I'm glad I got that correct.
