Kenny's Muscle Car Competition Week 3

Toronado
The story: The good guy sees the way out, but it is quickly blocked by bad guys. He throws it in reverse and looks for another way out...

Good job! I like seeing entries on Seattle that are original, nice creativity there.
The pictures seem a *tad* dark - brighten some of them up a couple notches and you have some contenders :)

i was just going for spots that didn't look so much like a damn race track.. w/ the pirrelli posters etc..

I agree ... so I only want to go for city track
but it is hard to find some spot to jump
since most of them are just flat :indiff:

I fixed them. I hope they are bright enough this time. I also took the last shot from different angle to further accentuate the sliding (A.K.A. to try to get rid of the polygon clipping of the tire and fender  ). All of the other different angle shots were an accident. :)

This one is just to prove that I straightened the car out :) (not in the actual contest)

Much better.

added new entry at post #84
The Buicks are nice Franz. Good car choices! I like the new behind the old.
Show us some more of those two. 👍

thanks Toad ~
I photoshopped 2 photos together to get this
this is the best camera angle I can get without seeing their bottoms
I already spent an hour to get that 2 shots with same camera angle and zoom
It's not easy :yuck:

Wow, that's a lot of work! I think it paid off :)

I *did* say that, and some entries are pushing it a little close. So far I haven't been contacted by the people from Dukes of Hazzard, so it's alright. But I'll be straight up and say that your chances are decreased when you post a mopar on dirt.

Master_Yoda I like the orange Camaro :)

Well I know mine is a mopar on dirt....but I didnt put an orange charger (that I own) in the dirt and thats what I thought the :dukes of hazzard" warning was for..If I knew that all mopars in dirt would be less thn the others I would have chosen differently...I was going for a really unique mopar( diferent color/model)...in the dirt instead :banghead: I also didnt put a " story" behind it.... I wasnt trying to push my luck, but I guess I will be penilized for it....its all in fun so its ok

You did a good job on your Superbird pics, I wouldn't worry :)

The story isn't mandatory, just for added fun/humor.

Good job everybody. I think we had some fun wrecking rare expensive machinery with no regard to value. Lancias with smashed roofs, a Ram that was pummeled by a now totaled Viper, the suspension disentegrated on the Callaway, the Stingray's engine flew through the firewall upon impact with the wall nearly crushing the stunt driver, etc etc. I think I've already gone over budget with this one scene with all the multiple scenarios. All for the movie, though, right? :dopey:

Definitely some surprises this week. The first two weeks when I started compiling data and choosing winners, going into it I already knew which entries I thought would probably win. This week I had no clue, and I think I surprised myself which ones I chose. Hopefully you'll agree with me. The others in my top 10 are suzq044, Zubicar, Master_Yoda, TeamLosiRacer, and Toronado.

5th spot belongs to somebody. His car choice is excellent, and the photo makes me think of a desert hide-out instead of a chase on Laguna Seca. :)

Treefingers earms 4th place with his 'smashing' shot of the Viper ramming the pickup. It's well composed with the cars, smoke, lodge, and mountain. However the landing isn't quite as memorable to me as a shot of the Viper colliding with the Ram in mid-air.

A Mopar on dirt actually got on the podium due to vr6gti72's eye for a good shot that doesn't make our protagonist look like he is being chased on a random rally course. The blur is done well and I like how the car appears to come out from the bushes.

The runner-up is atlop with another well framed shot. I think the trees in the background should have been blurred more, though. Still, I can't believe he has made it into my finals all three weeks!

First place goes to franz with a fantastic chase scene. The 'cop car' looks absolutely perfect, and I can tell he spent a lot of time on this. The bottom of the GTO looks like crap but the rest of the shot is so good it wasn't as bad of a factor anymore. Well done!

I thought my first suck
but I win ... thanks Kenny
everyone is doing well ... congratulation all 👍
