Hmmm, am i right in saying that you have to stand at the very corner of the big piece of grass at the back of the mansion. (If you were facing the back of the mansion it is to your left), at the very far corner near the tree, and the cops come over the wall and by the steps in the background?

Here's a diagram where I think Spuds is talking about. I can get about 500-600 in 10 minutes from here. I timed myself for 20 minutes today and got just over 1100 kills. The arrows show where to aim your rockets. Sometimes I aim over to the right near the mansion when the cop spawning slows down from time to time.

Actually, I just realised that Spuds post said to go to the east of the Sea Sparrow and I my diagram refers to the west, where I was trying it out.

I was aiming at and hitting both the wall and the hedges of the maze. This worked because cops were spawning just inside the maze as well as on the lower level.

Yep, the yard on the other side of the sea sparrow--I did try it briefly where you described but I was getting civilians instead of cops and you just can't kill them as fast since they don't run toward you--it will probably work good there too if you get the cops spawning.

Best description I can give. Exit mansion, go to your weapons, go up stairs by the pool, Head toward the water(ocean) to your south. Stop about 5-7 feet from the water and about 7-10 feet from the tree on your left (as you face the water)-- I will try and post a pic tomorrow evening (if I get time).

Do you have 100% completed? If not, have you scored 45 in the rifle range minigame. Because that gets quick reload which allows you to fire the rockets much faster.

You probably do have 100%, because you wouldn't be able to do it at all without the infinite ammo. You'd run out of rockets in a minute unless you'd got hundreds stocked up.

Editted to say it's not my method, it's Spuds'.

Sorry i didnt realise i said 100, i meant 500. And yes i have 100%

Try slightly altering your spot. And if the spawning slows down, then aim towards the balcony on the house for a second and then aiming back. This might work.

I posted a pic of the location showing 3 different views in the original post "spuds killing method 2"

Just to clarify the method if you are not getting about 1000 kills per 15 minutes--

--the cops need to be spawning, not civilians--if civilians are spawning you need to move someplace else and come back--the pool to your north usually works for me--when the cops start spawning they usually won't stop unless you move.

--don't stop firing your rocket launcher unless you are shooting at the police heli--and then only if its behind the tree near the water (so you don't blow yourself up)-- fire a few rockets along the retaining wall to your north, turn to the west fire some over there and then back to the north and then back to the west to keep the cops spawing-- if they get too close to you and you get bodies on the ground, they will stop spawning/slow down--you want to kill them near the walls--keep turning back and forth to get them to keep spawning

-- you will need to learn to shoot the heli down very fast--I can't teach you how to do this....you have to look deep inside of yourself and find the killer instinct inside

If you have any specific questions, please ask.

Sounds like you are doing it right--thats about as fast as I've ever got using that method-- I will admit, it can get boring after a while.

It's not too bad. It's handy to have a method like this I can use for 20 - 30 mins the odd time to improve my kill number.

Edited to add that I also raised my max media rating to 5942 here as well. Woohoo!

Well Spuds, I have to thank you for your killing method. I've got about 15,000 kills in the past couple of days and I'm gonna get my ass back on the record book. I'm determined to get at least 100,000 kills. I'm at 60,000 now.

KM.

MWAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously though, don't take me too seriously. I'm always thinking "You know what, this Saturday I'm not doing anything so I might do a few thousand levels of Brown Thunder and improve my cars destroyed, people killed stats, etc." or "You know what, Spuds new killing method is seriously cool, I think I'll use it to get to 100,000 kills". But I never do. So it'll probably take me about six months to kill 15,000 more people.

Im just gonna go for mostly CR, so i guess brown thunder is the way.

If you've maxed out your money already, then Brown Thunder only gives CR points because you're killing people. So if you use it to raise CR then you're gonna raise your kills too.

Sorry to bring back a fairly old thread but I tried your Method Spuds and it really really kicks. It's not that boring because of the interruption from the Police Heli. Thanks for that.

Give it time--25,000 kills ought to do it--but at least is boosts your media attention :)

Thanks for the acknowledgement though.

My Method of Killing:

Using cars to run over pedestrians or crashing into bikes and throwing off the rider.

Last light I did a one hour stint of killing and in the first 10 minutes I got 800 kills. But in the whole hour i only got 2800. But so many people were generating at first.

Someone mentioned that you get unlimited ammo for 100% completion. My problem: What is the best way to do the Ambulance missions, and what ALL is unlocked with 100% completion. Also, I only have 98 hidden packages and can get the Hunter fairly easy. I call it "fly to airbase with sparrow. shoot all GI's nearby. Get into hunter. Go postal." So far i know of

-Tommy gets a T-shirt that says "I beat VC"
-unlimited ammo

And does anything come with full completion of unique jumps and rampages? I just knocked over all the stores, finished the unique jumps, and did all the rampages. So ar I haven't noticed any difference in availability of stuff or any change in gameplay.

For 100% completion you get (as far as my memory recalls):
  • T-Shirt.
  • Unlimited Ammo.
  • Fast Reload.
  • All cars have Double Damage.
  • A maximum of 200 health and 200 armour.

There are possibly more rewards, but I haven't played Vice City in ages.

And no, there are no rewards for completing Rampages and Unique Jumps. You should get notification of rewards, anyhow.

i believe you get another spawning spot for the hunter with 100%

No. You get 2 spawning spots. Both are achieved (separately) after completing "Keep Your Friends Close..." (the final main story mission), and getting 100 Hidden Packages.

And you don't get Fast Reload for 100%, you get fast reload for getting over 45 in the Ammunation Shooting Range ;)

God, when I used to post in black, eeek.
