Killzone Trilogy

Earlier this year, it was announced that the first Killzone game would get the HD treatment. That got pulled a short while later.

Now it's back as part of the trilogy bundle that includes the MP DLC maps from KZ2 & KZ3 - all for &39.99 or £40.84

EDIT: Plus KZHD will be available as a standalone download for those who have all the DLC for 2 and 3 but don't have KZ the original. Confirmed in the comments of the PSN US blog.

I might get this trilogy, I only played KZ3 and I would love to know how the battle between humans and helghast started.

I played all of them loved MP in KZ2 and 3 may pic this up again not sure yet

Looks great I guess. But they stuffed up the fog in Silent Hill 2 HD so I worry that the mist in KZ might be a problem too. Atmosphere built through environments are very important in this game. If it becomes to "clean" then that might ruin things.

The sniper rifle in KZ was difficult to aim but it had a few big bullets that shot off with a solid BANG and regardless where you hit it took out anyone. Everytime I found it I took it and I counted every precious bullet and cursed if I missed a shot

KZ1 was the first consol FPS I got serious with.

And I loved some of the big guns they had

You REALLY need to at least play KZ3. One of the best experiences I have had on the PS3. That campaign is epic. And even more fun if you play it as a co-op campaign via split screen. I didnt care much for KZ1. KZ2 was decent but the KZ3 campaign is just truly amazing. Didnt play the mp much in any of the games.

Now that I have a 3d tv I want to pick that game up and play through it again to see the 3d experience.

Yeah, I played it three times. I especially liked the fighting under the mawler. The desperation and the constant firing going on, it was deafening. And the trailer sure is epic too 👍



I can feel it now. I'm gonna play through it a fourth time...

Glad there is a thread on this series,just finished KZ3,easily one of the best games I've played.Definitely play through again,maybe in 3D this time.

Yes indeed, both 2 and 3 are spectacular games. I'm sure the first will be very different but I just want to play it, especially as I couldn't find a copy anywhere for my PS2.

The whole series has a good arc and I love the atmosphere created.

Got Killzone 1 from PS Store.

Just want to ask one thing. Seems like I'm having problems with the surround sound?
All sound effects that happen behind the player character can not be heard. And there seems to be a lack of music during the missions?

I'm using 5.1 surround sound system. PS3 is connected to it through optical cable.
