I was writing my usual newsletter for the giles-guthrie.com Fantasy F1 competition, when the following thing struck me:
When Kimi Raikkonen powered blind into the smoke of Panis's lunched engine in qualification in Spa, he claimed he could see the oil from the blown engine, and thus that all was well, he knew where to go on the track.
This claim was backed up by the on-board footage, which clearly showed a streak of oil on the circuit.
So my question is: Why didn't he see this in France?
