Love this car now. Bought used for about $23,000. May not make as much power as the V8 but I save at the pump. And the sound is incredible..

305 HP and 280 LB ft. of torque.

Weighs about 3,300 lbs.

Premium package with full leather interior.

Amazing stereo system.

And I've been able to get 45 MPG cruising on the freeway!

Really really love this car. Especially because it's pretty safe as well from tests I've seen.

Will be posting updates periodically. Tell me what you all think.

Did Ford ever fix the issue with the driveshaft exploding when exceeding certain speed..?

Never heard of that issue but I don't think I need to worry much considering I've never taken it beyond about 63.. Haha

That blacked-out grille works really well 👍 And definitely not a bad car to have in high school - my high school car had a Ford badge, but about a fifth the power and was rather less interesting to look at...

Damn you, now I want to know what I was.

Just ordered some emblems for the fenders.

I'm aware that these are matte black, which doesn't quite match the grille emblem and such. But it does match the mirrors, stripes, and other trim pieces.

I'm also considering changing other small details from chrome to matte black in the future, so these emblems will not be out of place in the future.

You should swap the wheels for the ones off 5.0's.
Has been on my to do list for a while :) only problem is that wheels are a bit pricey, and I don't have the biggest amount of income ever. Plus there's hooking up the tire pressure sensors and things like that which can only be a pain..

That's the problem with new cars. Too many damn electronics.

I understand the money issue though.

I totally agree. I was also thinking (even though it wouldn't be a small job) of upgrading the currently painful suspension. Even if it's still hard-sprung, it could at least be a bit more comfortable and less jiggly at the back.

But do you have any other suggestions that might be a bit.. Cheaper? Haha

Unfortunately, you are pretty limited performance wise.

Looks wise, you could change the headlight shells out for the 2013's :D

How big of a job would that be? Is it a matter of a few plugs and screws? Or is it a big deal? My car is fitted with automatic headlights which are always on, if that changes anything.

I'm pretty sure the housings are the same, just the lenses are reverse so the orange is on the outside, similar to a 1970 Mustang. They used both the housings on various cars in 2012 so it might be a bolt in affair. Something to do some research on as I'm not too familiar with new Mustangs.

I was looking at a whole new front bumper from the 2012 GT first, since I know for a fact that it isn't too big of a change. Would this be a good idea as far as visual appearance?

V6 mustang love? My 2008 V6 Premium Coupe, with your normal power adders such as Cai intake, coil pack/plugs/wires, throttlebody, retune, and exhaust plus the visual mods of course

Nice and I love the grabber orange V6 in the background as well.

Also, my thoughts; yes, great choice of a car overall. It's fairly fuel efficient, wonderful styling, and has a decent amount of hp.

If Holden made a V6 pony car/sports car I'd have bought it over my Ute, nice car.👍
