Guys just a quick question, in gt5 there was no indication of the AI's tyre choices at the race section .Being as I like to race as fair as possible I use to refer to my granturismo for reference.

Does anyone know if this time round your given this information or maybe your governed to a set tyre and or pi ?

Thanks in advance
Andy

From what the screenshots show, the A-spec races fortunately have tyre restrictions in place this time. The AI tended to use the softest compound allowed in GT5 (except for some endurance races where it used RM's instead of RS's).

Well, in A-Spec in GT6 you're restricted to a grade of tire and a max PP, just like in GT5 seasonal events.

In GT5 the only way to find out what tires the AI were using (whilst playing) was to view the replay, as for this in GT6, well I don't know, it will probably be the same, and I reckon as @snowgt said the AI might be on the max allowed tire compound.

That's great. It looks like there are pp restrictions as well. A-Spec in GT5 was too easy because of lack of any restrictions, not just the AI.

I would bet the farm that the tire/PP restrictions in ASpec are far above anything that will make a real challenge for any but the most casual player. Without a difficulty slider they have to make these events as "one size fits all" so it can't be really challenging for the average player.

I hope we can. It would play well into strategy.

One thing that would be nice (although I'm sure it's too late to implement in GT6) is differing coloring to the sidewall or the badging on the sidewall which would indicate what compound and/or construction each competitor is running on.

I have high hopes that with this and the new AI that a-spec will be much more challenging and fun.

Agreed. I am much more optimistic about the AI after checking out the Sirocco gameplay posted on GTP. Combine that with a new, more realistic tire model and I'm happy. If AI difficulty is adjustable in A-spec and I'd be ecstatic.
