I knew it as soon as I saw it. Lighting & wheel motion graphics are exactly that of Forza 3. Not to say it isn't a fantastic shot, though.Thats a new FM3 picture che released, I am pretty sure Kamshaaft knows it too...
It was only just released

I was referring more to the ultra shiny wheels all the cars in Forza 3 tend to have; poor choice of words, I suppose.^Forza 3 no longer has wheel motion graphics, but fully 3D modeled wheels 24/7. Dumb decision IMHO considering it will take more processing power, but it was done to please the community. I heard there will be NO smoke in Forza 3 though, isn't that going a bit backwards?
Why are we even talking about that game in here? The mods should hopefully close or move the Forza threads to the appropriate forum when they come online. As thread starter, I request that we please keep it on topic to GT5.
Oh please this is pathetic. Give credit where credit is due. That pic looks FANTASTIC and every bit as good at GT 5.
When nobody knew it was a Forza 3 pic everyone was like "Wow, that looks so amazing, you mean that's not a REAL pic? Is that from the TG TT?"
For the record, I though it was a GT 5 pic too. Ya got me.
And then as soon as people find out it's from Forza 3 all the comments are "Oh that's so obvious it's not GT 5 it doesn't look very good actually"
Seriously just stop, you're embarrassing yourselves.

I'm not giving credit
That is a misleading pic. It's no different then all the fake pics EA puts out ahead of all it's NFS games. They're all the same, usually just one car, zoomed in, motion blur. lighting, and AA to the max even though the game can't handle nothing close to it in real time.
That type of marketing is criminal in my opinion. If this were a PC game showing a great screenshot taken from a super high end machine that you could upgrade to OK, but nobody's 360 is going to make the game look that good, except maybe in photomode.
You get the game in your hands and it looks like this:

How is the way Turn 10 takes pics of their cars any different than the way Polyphony takes pics of their cars?
Infact Turn 10 used to ( for Forza 1 ) be content with releasing real ingame pics. But what happened was that people would compare them to the touched up pics that Polyphony likes to use and now EVERYONE does the exact same this with their pics. Not one dev out there ( racing games ) releases true ingame pics. They are ALL "photomode" pics.
It just doesn't look like GT5's graphics engine.
I would argue that realtime GT5 looks just as good as the pictures PD has put up minus less AA
For example, this GT5 "photomode" picture doesn't look much better then this this or this
The Forza Koenigsegg looks incredible. A great impression of reality.
But I also understand Earth's point that it isn't necessarily an indicator of a game's true visuals, because, in motion, there are many other things to take into account.
Sure, PD touch up their pictures too, but to me, GT5certainly looks much better in motion that Forza 2, and likewise with the videos of GT5 and FM3.
I'm not a forza basher at all [/disclaimer]
