I'm absolutely loving the game so far

Fair enough, people have complaints about certain things and more than some are legitimate too, but even the not so important problems are still causing others to not enjoy the game as they wanted. I'm not going to argue anyone's points, because i see it all as subjective. Their concerns are legitimate in their eyes and i hope PD can fix a lot of it.
Perhaps some are put off by the fact that GT presents itself as a "simulator" but rarely shows signs of being one. People who are hardcore sim racers, could find an unending selection of things wrong with this game. And they'd be right. But for me, I've not compared GT ever to a sim. It's a console racing game, that takes itself very seriously (
for the most part anyway ![Smile :) :)](/wp-content/themes/gtp16/images/smilies/smile.svg?v=3)
). It's like First Person Shooters. Some might cite Battlefield as a serious war game, but put next to the ARMA series, it's toy time. But both are legitimate in their own right. I love them both. I'd do the same for GT vs iRacing or something. GT could never compete, but i still love it, regardless.
For me personally,
this game is so much better than GT5 (
on it's release ) ever was.
I am thinking long term on this. There is a lot of stuff that is missing at this moment and it's concerning slightly, but I recall that GT5 usually improved A LOT with each patch. I am sure it will be the same with GT6. I'd say to those early users, who are unhappy, that PD has already shown they have a history of improving the game with patches. And long term support too. I RARELY see other companies, sticking with a single product for more than 1 or 2 months, other than pumping out overpriced, weak-sauce DLC, but no gameplay improving patches as such. Whether PD join in with those irritating practices remains to be seen, due to those "real money for imaginary credits" suggesting so. However, as long as track and car DLC is reasonably priced, i will get that. The patches will come alongside it all, i am sure. PD improved GT5 regularly and for a long time after launch.
It's a disappointment that certain things are missing, of course, at this moment. But i trust in PD making significant patches and adding new modes ( The new track editor sounds very interesting, for a start! ).
For me here, early signs are
FUN and adequate, but i'm not disappointed too much, because i am happy to wait for the game to "complete". It's going to take some time whether any of us want it to or not. We can't do anything about that, so I'd rather PD take a bit longer and make things work properly, instead of a company like Konami, release a half finished game of Pro Evolution Soccer and then subsequently make it kill people's PS3's with patches and DLC that they never tested !
So far, thumbs up from me. Happy with this product (
again, thinking long term. ) Aside from the refined menus and all 'round polish, i just love driving the cars and i only have a slightly modded G27, so i've not even got a good wheel for the game, but it feels good for my limited knowledge of how these things should work.

I really love the
suspension system and the way the cars behave, because of it.
Great
new tracks. Really good choices, with more to come via DLC too
Love that
there is no more UCD. In GT5, you could wait months for a certain car to show up and when it did, you didn't have enough money or races to get it before it let the UCD again !
Coffee breaks are FUN, to me.
T
he tracks look swish. The lighting system creates a lot of atmosphere on many of the tracks. I'm personally not having frame rate issues ( 1080p ) or rather issues that cause any concern. But that doesn't mean that i think other people are wrong. Maybe i'm ignorant to the problem, but that's fine for me as it's not impacting my experience.
Everything
loads so much faster than GT5 could ever hope to.
All my favourite cars have carried over
PD made sure that there was a
day one patch, rather than weeks later. No doubt the first of many too.
