Douglas, you're never on AIM anymore. Well, let me rephrase that… You still ******* have me ******* blocked, you ******* ******.

Dude, I had no idea about that. I just unblocked you. I never knew I had you blocked, it must have been forever ago.

I've got Hurricane Harbor!!!

Not as cool.

:(

And you're not even on AIM right now. :( :(

And I have to go eat dinner soon anyway. :( :( :(

I want a Magnum, Doug. Do they have it in that cool bullet-gray color that the concept Magnum SRT-8 was in?

Speaking of cool cars, I just saw footage of the new Infiniti M45! I don't know of any specs but they did improve vastly on the styling. And the styling of the previous M45 was ghastly. It looked like a raft with four wheels.

Yeah, I've seen it too… It also matches the rest of the lineup better than that boxy thing.

True. The M45 was just pushed aside because it was just soooooooooo ugly before. I'm glad they remedied the problem.

Doug has already order one in Gunmetal gray.

Yeah, I don't know because I don't pay attention to concepts. I saw two Magnums today (and I'm driving one Monday or Tuesday), both were 'rental car gray':

The car actually looks pretty boring without the Magnum RT's 18" polished alloy wheels.

I wish I had the current one because it was such a pinnacle of automotive effort: clearly better than its competitors in every regard except styling, meaning discounts were readily available. It's not often that something like that comes along. I have confidence in Infiniti that the new one will be just as good as the current one.

That does look quite dull. It has a bit of geenish tint to it, instead of the blueish on the concept, which looked amazing (the overcast probably doesn't help). Oh well, I'd settle for the red one&heelip; Those look dandy. And yeah, those 5-spoke wheels are boring.

Yay, I'm rambling!

I'm on AIM and now you aren't. What gives?

That looks far from boring. It's a ****ty photo, but it still isn't boring.

Yeah it is. Base engine on that is the 2.7L V6 Chrysler uses in the base Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler Concorde as well as the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Stratus - it puts out 190bhp and does 0-60 in 11.3 seconds. I think Chrysler's got you believing the advertisements...

Anything that's clean looking and not overdesigned within an inch of its life (not to mention the lives of any innocent bystanders) is boring to Doug. He has no taste in styling whatsoever.

Who in their right mind would buy it with th 2.7? If you were going to do that, you might as well buy a 3.3-powered minivan for about the same money. The only reason to get the Magnum ios to get it with the 8.

I guess I should have ponied up the extra 4.5 kilobux and bought a Sport AWD instead of the Whisperliner last summer. Too bad the only one I found was white with a dirty tan interior.

It may be slow but it looks badass. Are we looking at the same station wagon?

It looks like a Caprice Classic.

That's why I don't ever take styling into account when making car recommendations. Keep in mind that I use what amounts to a division problem to figure out if a car is good or not.

Believe it or not, Dodge buyers can be just as status-conscious as us loser Audi buyers. It looks the part, and people like that.

190hp leads to 0-60 times in the mid 11s?! My 323 could beat that. All of our old Mazdas could beat that. Sheesh!

Considering that it's 190bhp out of a 2.7L V6 designed for midsize sedans being used on a 3900-lb station wagon, I wouldn't be surprised if 11.3 was undercutting it slightly. This car weighs more than a Toyota Highlander.
