True. They would've been an Championship caliber team with that kind of lineup.f1kingThats alright hater, I will love my lakers no matter what.

Thats right no blazer fan should talk any kina trash right about now.a6m5True. They would've been an Championship caliber team with that kind of lineup.
P.S. I was going to talk trash at the end of this post, but my team is an lottery team this year, so I'll save it for next season.
Yeah, they also had Kersey, Buck Williams, solid bench as you've mentioned and Rick Adelman as the headcoach. Actually, I'm surprised the team with Rasheed Wallace, D. Stoudamire, Brian Grant(in his prime), Detlef Schrempf, Steve Smith, Dale Davis, etc. didn't win the Championship. They lost against the Lakers in the final game of the seven game series in the conference final(it was considered "the" final that year). I think they were up by 15 points with little over 10 minutes to go, and well, they choked. 👎f1kingThats right no blazer fan should talk any kina trash right about now.
well to tell you the truth the blazers havent done s--t since the days of Drex, Robinson, and Porter. Those three guys with the bench they had, I cant believe the didnt win a couple of championships.

It probably was. NBA milks everything! I especially hate the playoffs. 16 teams in the race, each series takes 1-2 weeks!GiancarloThose last 40 seconds felt like minutes.
I don't want to diss the Wizards, and I actually like Wizards more than I like the Lakers. But, nobody really cared about the Wizards making the Playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Lakers on the other hand, they play in L.A., a city which is bigger than some states. People actually pay attention to what this team does, so I think the pressure will be many times higher than when Kwame Brown played for the Wizards.GiancarloI honestly don't think that Brown would pay more attention on a team that didn't make the playoffs this year than a team that was 4th (weren't they? I'm not sure) in the east last season.
But who knows, things can change i suppose.

Yeah. Not something he's known for.GiancarloKwame Brown dealing with pressure, hah.
Eric Pincus/hoopsworld.comIt was announced on Thursday that Los Angeles Lakers' second-round pick (37), Ronny Turiaf, will need to undergo open-heart surgery to repair an "enlarged aortic root." The abnormality was discovered by Laker physicians as Turiaf underwent a physical immediately after signing his rookie contract with the team. His two-year deal, with the first guaranteed, is expected to be voided. The NBA may not agree; but at this point Turiaf's future in the league is anything but certain.
He'll undergo surgery within four to six weeks. If his heart valve needs replacing, he's unlikely to ever play again. Best case scenario has Turiaf back in action within a year . . . but that may be overly optimistic.
The Lakers will miss his passion and energy, even from the sidelines as a bench player. The team will retain his rights should he eventually be able to return.
Heart abnormalities had been noticed before in Turiaf's career but were never considered serious. It's quite possible that the thorough investigation by Laker doctors may have saved Turiaf's life. The Lakers have offered to pay Turiaf's medical expenses though that too may not be allowed by the NBA. What's most important is that Ronny well-being . . . suffice it to say the Lakers and their fans are very disappointed.
Expect the Lakers to look for a cheap option to back up Kwame Brown at power forward . . . be it Mark Madsen (who may be bound for the Washington Wizards) or even Keon Clark.
