I used to feel the same way buddy. All my Stratos did was spin around Fiat Puntos at 30mph in a cloud of smoke, I found a change to my driving style was all that was needed đź‘Ť

I was just reading the glitches thread, it seems that there are several cars that will spin out violently even without throttle application. I guess we'll have to wait for some patches.

This is also my point about being disappointed with GT6

We shouldn't be having these issues... when the franchise is 15 years old... WTF.

There's never a solid improvement curve.. its always ups and downs and never an even keel.

Every time they release a new GT game.. since its been online.. its been riddled with bugs and faults that should have been ironed out years ago.

the stratos was a notorious car, if i remember it correctly, it was givin the name the deathcar in the early 70's, besides that, the stratos and his successor (delta) had both short wheel bases(inherent oversteer) and where created with rally in mind.
Thats not the same with the diablo GT and other supercars.
Plus where not talking about hotlapping and aiming for apexes here.
(NO THROTTLE OR STEERING INPUT ABUSE)
Im not even talking about driving a race track.
just a straight road with 70km/ph , than a 2 or 3 degrees on your steeringwheel is enough to cause it to max oversteer.
Thats not physics, but a problem! ;-)

Diablo Gt3 is rwd isn't it ? , quite archaic compared to the veyron .
I ain't tried it yet but the road going Diablo Gt drives like a putty cat

You don't need patches. You need to learn better throttle response.
All the cars that I see complained about here have massive torque/power in real life. Take a moment and read up on the car in real life!
Even experienced drivers have found the Huayra to spin out in real life. Lots of low end torque mixed with MR cars (which are more twitchy to begin with) need smoother throttle application.
The game is fine.

Sorry . i forgot to mention that i was only looking at the gas pedal .. and it spun.

I wasnt hard the gas trying to get out of the corner.. i understand over & understeer. .. and these cars are in a worl dof their own...

Since this thread there are some more that have appeared... like the lancia stratos.

Not being rude to you guys offering help... but I have played GT since day 1... heavily played pc sims... there is something wrong with either the tyre model , the physics model , the aero or all of the above. these cars should not be behaving how they are.. I have tried my best to set up the diablo road car.. and it really is just to bad to get a decent lap in ... it just kicks the back out way to much

They veyron has way more power and is pretty driveable, so it s not torque or power... is the game engine in some way
I'm with you on this. Posted about the R8 LMS in the tuning forum. You can be going woefully slow and the back just drifts round like you're on ice. Banked corners or undulations in the track and it's straight to the scene of the accident. I've played since GT1 (I'm gettin on) and I'm convinced this is not driving style (i'm very smooth. don't brake late or "throw" it into corners).

Nail on head right here. My sentiments exactly

Hmmm just got the Gt2 , free run fresh out the box round trial mountain ..... Fine ? Took the abs off and traction still fine .
Nice drive in fact , fun . Needs respect but no real issues
Understeer if u lift right of the gas in some corners but gentle Part throttle keeps it going fine .
Will have to try it tuned .
Was setting 1:41 laps , only did four laps tho

We are talking about ZERO THROTTLE. There are cars which have been highlighted that cannot even make a corner without spinning, without touching any pedals. A massive amount of torque or power means nothing if you don't go near any of it and the car goes violently out of control.

you guys need to rework your camber and toe settings.

The huarya (whatever spelling) is a very very nice car. you have to be very smooth with accelerating and downshifting.
I'm not one of the people who just floors it out of a corner and pegs the pedals. I'm smooth, even when I'm lazy and am on a DS3. It does not matter how smooth I am with an upgraded Huayra on RH tires. It will just go for a loop. It does that with most MR cars in my garage.

I'm very capable of driving MR cars. I drive smoothly with my Acura NSX. I maxed out its downforce on the rear. The problem is it's still a bit lively, even with that AND a flat floor. But it's mostly lively under 60 MPH, which I can understand. What I cannot understand is why my R8 LMS going at over 120MPH would be sliding like it's on ice on completely dry pavement. Oh wait. It wouldn't.

Wish I would have seen this before I bought the Diablo GT2...

The Nomad Diablo in GT5 was a damn fun and great car to drive so when I saw there were two more Diablos in the game I had to buy it! Its such a great looking car!

..but drives like crap :banghead::crazy::dunce:🤬👎:irked::mad:

Cant BELIEVE I wasted my credits on that turd..

The Diablo GT2 is fine stock, but what I can't figure out why a race car has its front and rear aero fixed to zero.

@SPORTVAN this is in no way a glitch. My huayra was having tremendous trouble, all I needed to do was treat it with more respect. They are much harder to drive, but in the end better.

1.41 is pretty slow, I just did a 1.38.6 on my first lap, 1.37.2 on lap 5.(Using DS3, all aids off, sensitivity 0 and plenty more time to be found)
It seems to have a bit more grip on Trial Mountain, it could be a track thing, or even track plus track temperature like real life.
I have most trouble on Bathurst/Mount Panarama with MR cars.

LSD 8/12/24. Brake F3 R5. ASM on. Makes a huge difference times went from 1:28 to 1:21 at apricot hill. Also fool around with the suspension. Actually enjoy driving it now. Next up the FFX :P.

I thought nobody was even reading this thread.

Ok thats cool, i drive with all aids of too, no abs-tcs std tyres.

In terms of handling with respect, your right.
But no real issues?? try nordschleife

Was setting 1:41 laps , only did four laps tho

This is my problem, your laps aint fast enough, im driving 1:38,7.
So ofcourse there are no problems.
If you insist i will upload proof if you want me to.

On the nordschleife with std wheels, i can use a full powerd diablo and a bmw basecar gt doesnt even come close.
NO DISRESPECT!

Here is the catch!
The moment i bought these cars i changed std rims to custom ones.
I tested this on trial mountain..

Std tyres+setup all aids off. STD wheels

Standing still, then push the throttle to the max.
You will see that there is no griploss of the tyre in a straight line.
Maximum grip

Now try the same thing above but with custom wheels 1 inch up, and then you will see that
in every gear you will have massive wheel spin.

Like i said, there is a problem!

And remember this was before the custom wheel bug was a known bug!

Now whatch this movie, ( 0.40 sec) when the car is cornering it has oversteer, but once the car is corrected, it snaps back, and the rear tyres retain there grip. you dont see this in game.

And the second clip

Combing your hair while driving a diablo!!!!!

I think maybe some people aren't good enough to tell the difference between a car that is hard to master and a car that is broken.
There is clearly some weight distribution/aero issues on MR cars.
People say "learn to drive" or "it's just like real life, play NFS" and things along those lines, but they're being ignorant. This game's weight transfer is exaggerated, and it makes some cars unrealistically twitchy.

It will be quite funny watching their reaction when PD patch it.

They will launch verbal attacks at PD, i'm being serious. They cannot take the fact that it's not realistic - they seem to think every move PD make physics-wise is the holy grail and other games have to live up to that one example.

And also not to mix up some of the models (MR or otherwise) handling with this apparent tyre size glitch.

Stock GT2 seems to handle just fine, I bought one as soon as I could afford it!

my thoughts exactly. I mean i am absoluty no racedriver whatsoever.
I do not consider myself even as an amateur racedriver (racelicence in Holland costs about 3000 euros, and then you have to have a lot of money to by a car, find a league).
The one thing i am absolutly certain of is. that with normal driving tactics IRL (oh i love that word) an MR car would not spin 180 degrees just by itself.
Ive had a bmw 325 e36 coupe for about 10 years, witch helped me alot with driving tactics. (almost 200 bhp at the rear wheels with no aids whatsoever, well.... electric windows if you can count those too).
i dont have that much MR experience, ive drivin 2 ferraris (an old 348 tb on the public roads for almost an half hour, (first time driving a mr car with a dogleg transmission, i was so scared to ruin the whole thing!! and have drivin its succesor the 355 spider on zandvoort trackday years ago, which im planning to do again this summer.
Last year ive drivin a 325 on zolder belgium (amateur competative) which i enjoyd very much.
So if you make a thread with statements as no steering or throttle abuse, what do people actualy think?
They dont read anymore!!

btw, this pic is in my early 20ties, when i still had hair lol

Check if the wheels have been changed, there's a confirmed bug when staggered tire setup and the wheels have been changed, the front wheel tire will also replace rear wheel tire, that means rear tire will be as wide as front :( So, stick with stock wheels.

and the Diablo GT is a joy to drive, as well as the Huayra.

A warm up lap : Lamborghini Diablo GT '00, stock, oil change - 600HP, rear wing removed ( sexier ), painted in delicious purple. Fitted with comfort medium ( decent high performance summer tire IRL ), no ABS or other aids as usual, high BB - 9/2. Track is Mt Panorama, Bathurst, grip real, done under test drive in garage menu.
Time at 2:24.678, there are some sloppy section, and 1st sector is a bit slow at just over 21 second, my best 1st sector was 20.6s :D Now if only I have a wheel, things would have been much easier, especially steering the car

With the Diablo GT, on comfort medium, stock- oil change 600HP, the 1st left corner at Bathurst can be taken at 87-90 kmh ( like in the video ), and a good run will see 1st sector at less than 21 second. The cornering speed is a good baseline, if you can take it at this speed stock without any drama, you are off to a good start.

Will record and upload a video of my run with Pagani Huayra, stock from arcade courtesy car, default everything, 5/5 BB, comfort soft, no abs or other aids at Bathurst, grip real. Less than 2:20s. The car has great traction on comfort soft, only spinning when full throttle from low speed in 2nd gear - when the car is straight, it will go hard with mild spin. Just need to remember, in real life, these cars with OEM tires needs delicate throttle and braking when all electronic aids are off, but most owners would turn them on ;)

thanx man, ive read about this bug maybe 3 weeks ago. at the time of posting this thread it wasnt even a known bug, hope they fix it soon. i try the huarya and diablo with same settings. lets compare times!

@Ridox2JZGTE Man in what time are you living??? This is the era of smartphones!!! didnt you know ;-)

@perdy450 , me too! When i heard gt6 had true diablo's (not the raceversion) i really had to had gt6., now if they only ad the F50 /F50 gt than im a real happy man. i dont think i would drive another car anymore !

Just doing some research our friend the GT ....
And I think we have over looked a issue.
The Diablo GT is a super car , fantastic over the top in every way but
It wasn't fast !!!!
And all tho track orientated even the race version no match for the hundreds of Ferrari GT cars and thousands of Porsche GT cars
It was a novelty race car looked amazing.

The road going Gt Diablo set a 8:04:00 on the Nuremburg

So that's the target I guess to test

And since we haven't paid real money and won't die if we crash it should be a easy target (I hope)

But to put n perspective actuall ring times of cars

Murclargo 7:50:00
Exige S 7:53:00
Bmw M5. 7:55:00
California Gt 7:56:00
Nissan R33 gtr 8:01:00
Jag xkr-s 8:03:00
Honda NSX-R 8:03:00
Diablo GT 8:04:00

But give the old girl her dues she's 15 years old

I'm very intrigued to see tonight if I can lap a M5 faster than the GT tonight

Really my bad, I have a Blackberry, but the sound is muffled when recording and the resolution is not much better :( I recorded that video with my old Sony Ericsson W 900 series phone, still kickin strong

I posted this on another thread about Diablo GT2 :

I just bought Diablo GT2, curious as many said this car is broken :( So, yeah, took it to Bathurst, fitted comfort soft to see how it goes with street tire, surprisingly it drives fine, slower than the Diablo GT in straight line and low to medium speed corner due to the very stiff spring causing the car to jiggle a lot.

I tested with stock 630HP, no oil change, change body kit to '98 appearance version, the default one is from 2002 version, another PD mishap

With 9/3 brake balance, the car has noticeable instability under heavy trail braking without using throttle to help with the lift off oversteer.

I increased rear brake to 9/9, and it drives much easier, very pronounced on the 4th or 5th corner ( uphill left then blind right that leads to the esses ) and the downhill esses.

So my suggestion is whatever brake balance used, increased the rear to be same as front, and beware of braking points, it's a very edgy car with sharp handling and stiff suspension, try to slow in fast out.

Reducing steering sensitivity with this car is also beneficial, use -2 as a starter, if feels sluggish, increase by one :)

Important to note that having the same value brake balance helped with braking stability - works for me. The car also do not have any downforce :( which is odd for a tuned car with roll cage and extremely stiff chassis + suspension. The Diablo GT2 also much slower than Diablo GT at Bathurst, even with comfort soft, it's still slower than Diablo GT with comfort medium by a few seconds - this is more due to the Diablo GT2 still has 630HP ( no oil change yet )
