i live in millbrae, right next to san francisco, and ill see what i can do about hosting it here. what are the neccesary things for it?
well for a 6 player LAn party, were going to need to bring a few TV's and PS2, i don't have a TV of my own so i can't do that, but i can bring my P2, my copy of GT4 along with my memory card, and i have a network adapter that i've never used cause i can't figure it out. but i have one. i think were going to need another person with a PS2 witch i bet you have one, mabe we might have to have 3 TV's and 3 PS2's i don't know, bt do you have the room at you house?

alright i currently have a big screen in my living room, i have a few people with ps2's. just one copy of gt4. any internet access needed?. i have room for 6 people for sure. maybe a little more

k cool, i have a copy of GT4 so yeah i can bring that, im not sure if you need internet access. we need more people. for sure to make it a REAL LAN party :)

I live in Emeryville, so I'd be interested.

Now then, for a 6 way LAN connection, we'll need a 6-way LAN hub, at least 6 RJ45 network cables, and 6 PS2s with network adapters along with 6 TVs and probably enough space for 6 wheel/pedal setups.

It would be a good idea to contact Famine about a good way of running the event too, since he's done it several times in the UK. Search for UKGTPIV for his thread on the last one.

You need to have a good balance of cars & drivers and tracks, since if everyone insists on racing a stage 4 turbo'd Minolta at the Test course, I'm not interested!
There needs to be a way to keep the faster drivers competetive without making slower drivers spend a lot of time sitting out, especially if there's more than 6 people.

Hope this helps, will keep checking back here to see how things are progressing.

I'd love to make it but I have too much going on with school. :ouch:

From the second half of June until Early August(Possibly late August) I am free on most days. Also I have a week off in February and another sometime later.

Maybe we could convince the fine folks over at the Sony Metreon to allow us to play? :sly:
How far is the sony building from your house?
(the only reasone I know where its at is becuase I got some stuff at the apple store right across the street

Well for me to get to the Metreon I would have to:

1) Walk about 20 minutes to the bus stop.
2) Ride for about 10 minutes.
3) Get on the BART train on Broadway(Downtown Oakland).
4) Ride for about 10 minutes.
5) Get off at Montgomery St. station.
6) Walk for a couple of blocks to the Metreon.

Total trip time: ~45 minutes.

I know a few people at my school who might be interested so I'll try to get them to tag along.

And if nothing else we can all go to the arcade and play Initial D! :sly:

If you guys wanna talk to me on phone. just aim me. and you can call, but please don't call at any givien point, parents could get pissed
