Having some major save game issues ATM.

So far it's eaten by 'tune' each time I start the game. I currently have a speed rm with some parts and not others.

Lets hope I get it fixed.

This happened to me, I tuned a car and each time I logged back in it was stock again. It cleared within a few days, maybe it's because you are not letting the game save before you logg off? Just a thought.

Deffo not.

I'm going to have a bit play with options and sending cars to see if i can get one to stick.

If the worst comes to the worst I can just buy on the day and tune. But that gives me a small power disadvantage :<

I wouldn't worry about that small disadvantage, maybe I can finally beating you instead of making a mistake leading to you overtaking me over and over.

I try to tune for stability and tyre wear not laptimes.

One huge spin in a 30 laps race and all the advantage is gone.

Thread has been redesigned. I hope it is easier to understand.
Rules have been underlined clearer and another rule has come into play:

There will now be a rolling start in each race.
For those who are less knowledgable of the theory, I will explain now and I will be uploading a video of a demonstration in a couple of days time.

Basically, we add an extra lap to the race, and use the 1st lap to glide around the track at a fixed speed of 60mph. Stay close to the car infront, and do not speed or go slow as it may result in a crash and the culprit may lose a place at the end of the race.

When you personally cross the line, you floor it. You do not go when the leader crosses the line, you go when YOU do.

Anyone who still isn't clear, please reply on here.

The reason we are doing a rolling start is because it is a safer way of starting a race, and it makes it easier for us H-Shifter racers who have the risk of missing a gear when starting. It is also a lot of fun!

This is just a repeat of an announcement as it is not in the OP
As part of an effort to gauge interest, and because we want to have everyone practice together before the season, we will be holding a semi-mandatory meet up on Sunday 27th February at 4PM GMT. This meet up lets us know who regularly checks updates on the thread and who is likely to reliably attend each race.

Please post to let us know whether you will be attending, or whether you have prior engagements, should you miss this meet up and the first race of the season there is a strong likelihood that your position within the championship will be reviewed or revoked.

Happy racing!

This is how a rolling start outlap should look, 1st place on the inside of the track (If the 1st corner is right, 1st place is on the right).

The grid will go around the track in this formation, and as soon as you induvidually cross the line, you floor it.

So we should be exactly in line with the back of the car in front (position wise) with our front?

We're gunna need some practice starts tomorrow

Not EXACTLY, but if you can that would be perfect.

Yes we will practise tomorrow :)

Ahh ok :)

Good!! :P

and I take it its the FRONT of the car crossing the line, and we'll have replay reviewing of the starts in particular I guess

Yeah as soon ad your car crosses the line to start a new lap. So just look out for the lap starting.

Ahh yes of course, are swerving heavy breaking ect allowed to warm tyres or do we have to be in order and not erratic if you see what i mean

Swerving will be allowed on the back straight. A new rule I just thought up. Other than that, we stay in order

Actually scratch that, swerving doesnt warm the tyres up much so we stay in order at 60mph doing nothing else.

Just put a small video together with Tom explaining a Rolling start a little clearer. Rendering now, will upload later. Should be ready by 5pm, I render in very High Quality (1080p HD) so it takes ages.
