I was told that it's better to have LCD at max, and I've seen better times with LCD at max, so why set it at 5,5,5?

It dose not matter. I run 60-60-5 and dREAM runs 5-5-5 on the strip we race pretty even. His time is faster than mine I'm pretty sure so I might try 5-5-5. I think it's just a developed habit of tuning:)

I have a theory, I think that LCD at max really only effects awd cars? Making them go faster as more torque is applied to the wheels, and as mr, ff, and fr only has two wheels delivering power when awd has 4 wheels, so LCD should have a greater effect on awd cars. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Iv stuck with 5/5/5 i just preffer it an I pull of top times, but whatever floats you boat dude good luck :)

LSD 5-5-5 is fully closed and 60-60 is fully open, for drag thats what you want a fully open or closed differential, although pysics are different in the game but this serves as a reference point.

And also by not questioning the help you show appreciation. And try to break in that car you clearly missing a few HP.
