I won this car recently and have yet to drive any of the R8's. They seem to be popular in here. Is this a good version? Is it worth spending credits and time driving? Does anyone have a good set-up for it?

Thanks!

Thanks! I'll give it a try...and slow down through the corners! Do you know how this version compares to the R8s available in the Audi dealership?

It's on my to-do list, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Corners aren't the problem. Thing is pretty grippy. Not race car grippy, but very good. I can push similar times to my ZR1, but the Audi can get away from you much easier. The problem is bumps. On a smooth course, the car flies. Has some mid-corner understeer that I'm still trying to work out. A lot of the problems can be attributed to the lack of a downforce adjustment.

If the R8 can be modified to have aero installed, then I suspect the R8 to be a better handling car. I don't know if it'll be as smoking fast though.

It's a tune in progress. If you'll get one thing out of the car is it will educate you on a course. A few laps around a course and you'll know every pit and bump it has. Wanna hone your Nurburg racing? Take the Quattro out there and run it about 80-90%. You'll sweat a bit, but you'll come away with much better knowledge of the course, and a better driver. The car isn't bad, just different, and with the speed potential, can provide a real educational experience.
