I don't think they had last year GT academy demo in the ps store if they did i would have sign up for it

It was a seasonal even for GT5, so if you had GT5 last year then you would have been able to register for it. I think Sony/PD/Nissan are keeping it fair by letting everybody whom doesn't:tup: own GT5 get a shot at the competition.

Learned how to take a few more corners yesterday by following DHollands (spelling?) ghost around a few of the tests. I have heard alot about that guy so I decided to see how he does things. Another good person to learn lines from for those of you looking for top players to follow. I have heard he is one of the best and I must say he is not bad at all, lol. Had a good visit from my nicely endowed physical therepist today, lol, so I'm ready to get back at it. She inspires me, lol.

Indeed you did miss it - the details are still up on the GT Academy website, I can't remember the specific start date but it was definitely there in the seasonal events. It was at the far left of the list (where it defaults you when you enter).

Aren't these tests just a mere supplement to what GT5 skill level that the players already have? There's no real point in slaving over hundredths and thousandths until the very last round of the mini-game where you can actually qualify for a spot in the national final.

Nothing about an e-penis, as you say, for me. I'm just trying to improve my skill level and see how my times stack up against the top guys on the leaderboard. I'm not concerned about getting my name in "lights". I'm smart enough to know that you have to learn to crawl before you can walk. I'm no serious threat this year, but maybe next year...we'll see how my progress goes.

What are you people talking about? Am I the only one that downloads the replays of the top times? 2 wheels in the grass? Totally absurd(unrealistic) driving lines. I stopped playing this after the 3rd part of round 1. Don't want to compete in something like this. It's not a driver challenge in the slightest.

Keep in mind the only round that counts is 8-5, so I would just ignore it and do your best to practice before then. IF people are cheating on 8-5, then something can be said. Right now, moot point.

Maybe so. But, they should do more of an elimination with real world cars. I think there are more talented ones out there, that probably can't play the game as well, or maybe don't have a wheel for their PS3.

It's all about Gran Turismo though, so it's going to feature GT more than anything else. It wouldn't be "GT Academy" without it, and the whole point is to find someone that's good in the "virtual world" and can carry over that talent to a real car.

I have to admit I've grown with the academy for sure in just a short time. I've always pushed myself to be faster and even more so in GTA. I'm also learning better braking, but something that it has also helped prove to me. Is that my driving style on the edge or to the limit isn't the wrong way to go and such a style yields better results, than just being 100% conservative. A mix is what I've learned

Thats also pretty much the conclusion I've come to also. Brake control as well as throttle control is my biggest nemisis right now.

I read the post you're referring to and he didn't do such a thing. Also I agree with you he shouldn't curse because that is also against the AUP. Either way let's get past that.
