This thread is mainly for the discussion of braking techniques and the situations in which you use them, but as we have very few polls here (
) I decided to add one.
My first two wheels had two pedals and as I didn't need my left foot for anything I started using that for braking.
Since my wife bought me a G27 with a Wheelstand Pro, I've been using my left foot for the clutch and my right foot for braking.
On most road cars, except the ones that come standard with flippers I use the H-shifter and clutch for shifting. On all time trials and missions I use the flippers too as the auto clutch is so incredibly fast.
When I got to the IA Mission Races, I found that in a lot of (high speed) corners I lost too much speed lifting the throttle and tapping the brake and that lifting the throttle alone would not give me the weight shift (i guess) to make the corner. So I found myself suddenly using my left foot again for braking.
I now use either my left or my right foot depending on the situation, although I stick to my right when using the H-shifter as I am not into heel-toe yet.
I would like to know what techniques other people have, especially if you use heel-toe as I have yet to figure out how to do that properly![Smile :) :)](/wp-content/themes/gtp16/images/smilies/smile.svg?v=3)
Thanks!
