I led and wasn't prepared for the pressure. Will look forward to B class on this course so I can get a good rythm here.:D
What a blast, I almost lost the race on the last corner with the amount of pressure I felt from the Rx-8. Loved the course!

16 laps!?? Of either of you saved the replay for that, please send it to me!!!!!

I have no Internet as of yesterday, gotta pay that crap. I'll be back online in a matter of days.

I forgot to save the replay; maybe Wynter saved it though.

I'll be on this evening. My connection is not great for hosting but I'll look for someone to join with a room up.

As usual, I lose every battle... I'm pretty much giving up on racing now.

Hei
Nuuuu, you did goood.

Usually when I'm not in battle or just messing around, that's when I think of myself as a good driver. I always mess up one way or another in battle... :ouch:

I don't know, maybe it's because I drive my best when I'm not too serious. Also, I always hate it when something gets recorded. It just builds up my stress.

I'll stick to having track days and time attacks from now on.

Some of us start off on losing streaks when we race against better-off opponents for the first time. Its all down to practice and experience that allows to better ourselves as drivers and tuners. I was in the same position when I first joined LotS.

I just think it's weird how I always feel I lose a huge part of my skill during battle. During practice laps, I do fine, where I actually have a 50/50 chance of winning. Once the battle starts, the whole chance of winning plummets down.

I'm usually able to "somewhat" keep up with the likes of Slender during practices or free time during Touge Showdown meet-ups. (Usually 1-2 second gaps.)

But anyways, thanks for the advice.

(If I recall correctly, I've only been able to win 1 battle ever since I've signed up. Didn't feel like a victory, since it was at my home course though.)

Sounds like over-concentration too me... I was the same going in to LotS, I lost my first battle and then got over confident and when straight after the top-dog at the time MONSTER-1.
It's one of those things you have to keep practicing at, Just like the Nurburgring 👍

You can turn to some of us veterans for advice on getting the best out of your own abilities as we're here to help out.

A key element to winning in LotS is adaptation. Practice on courses where your weaknesses are more prevalent. Use this knowledge to build confidence in your car's dynamic abilities and your own driving technique. Only then will you be able to take the fight to stronger opponents and win more races.

Keep at it dude, it's worth it. I was really bad at touge when I first started with LoTS but I kept at it and I'm not as terrible as I used to be. I still haven't won a single battle but I keep coming back for the challenge. Some of the gnarliest driving happens out on the touge and even watching battles is intense.

If all else fails, crank the Euro Beat and slip into the Fujiwara zone!

(PS, I'm going to host a lobby tonight so I'll post the ip for it when I set it up. Hopefully I'll see some of the LoTS masters tonight! :D)

It's weird that my battles were always held at Akina... It's like that place hates me.

I'll probably be up for a rematch somewhere else...

Shadow's first attempt at my home course and he managed to pass me on the final set of corners.

Some taps here and there from both of us, and my damaged rear prevented me from staying still. The BEST run I've had so far. Looking forward to a rematch.

Thanks for showing me how weak my brakes were.

Can I join just to practice? Or do I need to sign up?

Anyone wanting to learn can come and practice with us with no need to sign up. If you want to race competitively, then you have to register.

I started to lead. Against my Mountain Pride Racing Team Co Leader's R32 my z started increasing the gap slowly in first sections of hairpin corners. I noticed his car almost spun out on downhill corner after we just entered second sections. so I went making dash attack few corners and gave him 8 sec gap. John if you read this, you did great!
