Looking through this thread while the first install process is busy...

When I saw this post I made a vague noise that was somewhere in between excitement,suprise and a sound a little girl would make.

Maintenance means no new seasonal's until it's over I think.

After the update has been installed, the car can be purchased from the [Vision GT] option within the [CARS] section in "My Home". Alternatively, it is also possible to obtain the car by completing a lap (regardless of the lap time) in the new Seasonal Event, available only for a limited time.

This is weird. I downloaded and installed the patch with the PS3 interface and it worked.
Now I have this in game Installing screen:

Same here keeps jumping from 60-20mins for me. Time to go a walk, while this updates.

Future unlock would make some sense, but the constant dilly dallying is a tad frustrating...

I'm sticking with "something is better than nothing". Roll on the next updates/unlocks...
