Litestep 24.7, with Obsidian V2 Blue theme, and Trillian running an old skin called microscopic.

And if anyone knows where to find wall papers like the one I have, the minimalist style artwork, tell me. I am looking for a dual monitor or widescreen version of what I have now.

where do I get skins for XP? Ive got an alienware suite which is nice but is there anymore?

Nice, Azuremen. Litestep is the only thing that makes me wanna go back to Windoze.

I have a thread over in the computer section about "Litestep" which is what I am using to theme and skin Windows, though its a bit much for average computer user at times.

Other suggestions would be WindowsBlinds or StyleXP, but those cost money in the log run =/

Styler Toolbar is a free alternative.

Styler Toolbar is a free alternative.

Thanks for telling me that, TS :)

And in looking into it some more, I have found alternatives to the native XP skins... Royale Noir and Zune, which can be googled. They are MS certified and can be loaded and used without any modification to Windows XP (aside from placing the Theme files into the respective folder).

That aside, a way that does not require 3rd party software at all is to patch the uxtheme.dll file, which will then allow non MS Certified appearance sets to be used. You can find a large array of styles on DeviantArt, but you still have the windows layout, nothing radical like what I have.

Still, more options without needing to use anything besides "Display Properties" for selection.

EDIT: Zoxxy, is that a Litestep setup? Looks very *unix-ish. Clean, I like it.

I downloaded and installed those themes - they're pretty similar.

Running the Zune one at the moment. We'll see how long it lasts... Does look good though, and brings me one step closer to Vista! :D

Cheers.
