What happened to the Mac?

I needed a notebook when school started but I knew that in two-to-three months, Leopard and Santa Rosa MacBooks would be released. Normally, that wouldn't deter me from making a purchase, but Dell had a notebook that I couldn't pass up: 2.2GHz C2D; 2GB RAM; 160GB HDD; $909 with the discount. If my family gets another iMac, their current one is mine...
