I don't know dude, turbines of some sort? I don't think they're turbos because there isn't anything to turbo.

But it looks like a gas comes down from the top into the diagonal tubes and into the units. This gas then causes the bladed wheel you can see to turn, sucking in some gas. This is the same as how a turbo works.

I think that's the Mercedes Test Track. I remember seeing it once in The Amazing Race.

Awesome place. The good drivers will get the cars fully horizontal in that banked turn.
