I made this tune to gold the tracks I didnt get first time through using a lvl 17-20 driver. I thought my driver was doing excellent so I then used this setup to win indy with a lvl 6 driver, then I entered a lvl 0 driver at Daytona. She was lvl 11 after 3 attempts and won on her 4th try by 10+ seconds.

I changed my gearing on grand valley to help with the wheel spin out of the corners and he still won
I think my driver was like level 16-18

I golded all except Grand Valley. got second on that one. Or should I say F(ort) Knox did. This was the first series that was actually quite fun. It seems that he finally broke out of his shell and started DRIVING! The Grand Valley race was awesome. He had the car all over the place but controlled it for the most part. He just couldn't get close enough to the lead car. And Laguna Seca too. It was close and he drove well throughout the whole series. I hope the SuperGT races are as exciting as this one was. It was the perfect thing to have on tv while wrapping presents.:sly:

Seems people use somewhat different strategies on this one.

I noted down the settings i used to gold all the tracks, mostly for a friend of mine, but can just as well share them here too :)

Won all races by about 10+seconds. (Watched them and gave commands, didnt leave bob alone.)

Got a bit busy so I just tried changing the ride hight for high speed ring today, and that didn't fix the understeer issue there.

Anyway it seems that many got problems with Grand Valley I think the best strategy there is keeping Bob cool half the race and then speed up a bit
and start overtaking second half of the race, Bob should be cool and have pretty good tires while the rest of the field have pretty bad tires.

The important thing is that Bob should not get any wheel spin in the corners, it pretty much kills his tires and he'll loose a lot of speed later in the race because of that.

Vash, Thanks for the tune, made my Xmas a lot less frustrating after banging my head against the wall for A-spec and B-spec! Always need to get some practice before hitting the forums for help. I had to go back and tweak a little for GV as I didn't get first but work brilliantly for everything else, you just gotta make sure to keep cracking the whip.

I was able to push Bob super hard at Laguna, pit going into the 8th lap, come out the pit behind everyone, was still in 5th going into the last lap, and took 1st on the very last corner. Sure makes for an exciting lesson learned.

Somewhere in here someone posted this

Dont forget to change your oil

Race 1

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 249MPH

Just keep telling bob to overtake and he will win by a huge margin.

Race 2

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 219MPH

Race 3

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 236MPH

Dont push bob too hard on this one, otherwise you will pit in on your last lap for a tire change and lose the race.

Race 4

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 224MPH

Front Breaks - 2
Rear Breaks - 2
Front Ride Height - 15
Rear Ride Height - -15
Spring Pressure - 18.5
Transmission/ Top Speed - 249MPH

This one is a bit hit and miss. Just hit "Increase Pace" then "Overtake" one after the other, do this constantly till you take first.

All of the above settings should work just fine on A-spec. Good luck"

And all I can say that was a 2.5 hrs waist of time for me. Although it worked for Indy none of the others did. It was obvious at each turn these setups have been a big disadvantage. So I'm trying Vash's next

I agree that Grand Valley is the hardest of the bunch. While the settings for the car work great I disagree with the approach. DO NOT try to get in front right away. My strategy that worked great was the following.
Lap 1: Pace down once you hit the middle section after the u turn. Stay pace down until you get just before the straight that crosses the finish. Then pace up and over take back to back. Don't worry if you're not in first.
Lap 2: Repeat lap 1 but pace down constantly through the middle section, i.e. keep your driver from spinning his tires at all.
Lap 3: You should be in 1st, 2nd or 3rd by now and if you've saved those tires you'll be in first after the mid section because the front runners will have worn their back tires down and can't overtake you on the turns. Keep your pace down through the race and by the end you're tires will be nice and sticky while theirs are rubbed nubs. I didn't have to tell bob anything after the 4th lap and the opponents just kept drifting the corners while bob slowly rolled straight through them.

After trying this event with stock settings and getting just one win (indy), I tried your settings and won every single race on the championship. It takes a while to get on the first place but once I got it the driver started to run faster laps and just gain on the AI drivers.

Thanks a lot.

As for GV, here are my two cents. Don't rush your driver into overtaking. Spare his tires by keeping him in the gray area between blue and red so he doesn't over steer out of corners. If you keep him cool and overtaking one car every lap you are golden.

I tried this and he is right, I won it pretty easily, couldn't win it before using that strategy.

Laguna track pissed me off, I had pulled into first on the 5th lap and then Bob skid out bad and refused to start going again until every single driver had passed him, WTF is that all about?

@ Vash

Thanks a lot dude, golded 4 out of 5 events. I could have won Grand Valley as well but Bob decided not to overtake the race leader coming out of the very last corner (last lap) when it was cake to do it. Ended up 0.1 seconds behind.

The trick in Grand Valley is to cool down Bob until the main straight and then push hard, the others will eventually burn their tyres and you´ll get past them although is not as easy as it might sound.

By the way Daytona was really easy, once you get in front and push hard you open a nice gap and the pack cannot draft you.

Got 475 points, not too bad.

Yeah, with this setup you can clear the championship in one go, the GVS may take a couple tries but as posted by others here its winnable. You can take the hothead route and try to get 1st asap (risky) or cool the driver off and pick positions near the end with better tyres.

I was struggling with the B-spec Nascars like many others but after finding the correct settings the races become doable. I used settings that Sirtokealot and DEADLIST used and with some tweaks to them I managed to clear the series with all golds (I used a lvl 18 driver around 60%hot).

Try to experiment with increase pace instead of overtake command if you are having difficulties in overtaking. Increase pace sometimes forces the driver to choose aggressive driving lines and may help with overtaking the opponent earlier...

Here are my settings for the 5 races, remember to change the oil to get an HP edge over the opponents.

Race 1: Superspeedway
downforce 35/50
gears: 380 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: 15/-15
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

Not much tactics here...I just spammed increase pace with occasional overtake command until I was first and then it was just a matter of keeping the pace up.

Race 2: Grand Valley
downforce 50/70
gears: 320 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: -30/-30
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

Hardest race for me as getting in front was difficult and rear tyres started to lose grip quite fast due to oversteer. High downforce was useful and made overtaking easier for my driver. Try to get to 1st place as soon as possible and then maintain pace around middle bar to avoid wheelspin in the corners.

Race 3: High Speed Ring
downforce 50/70
gears: 350 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: -30/-30
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

My driver took the lead on lap 6 after many overtake commands :P but after that the race was easy, just keep a steady pace and a win should be in the bag. I also noticed that my driver always understeered hard on the first fast lefthander, dont know if my setup caused it or low driver lvl because the rest of the competition took a much better line through that corner.

Race 4: Laguna Seca
downforce 50/70
gears: 280 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: -30/-30
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

Keys here are short gearing and high downforce... the race becomes smooth sailing after you get in front, just remember to keep some pace up

Race 5: Daytona Oval
downforce 35/50
gears: 380 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: 15/-15
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

This race was a nightmare before I found good setup for the car. These settings helped Bob to floor it properly and the race should go much easier.

Excellent post.

My lvl20 driver golded this easily using your set-up.

Thanks a lot :)

I used the one for Grand Valley and it was right on. The key to winning this race is keep the driver cooled down in the tight turns then pick up the pace in the straights. My driver jumped to 1st place after two laps and I had to baby sit him through the tight turns to keep the wheel spin down. He was at level 20. I used other settings for the rest of the races. Grand Valley was the one I was really having problems with. Thanks! 👍

Easily all gold on the first try with these tunes, thanks. Closest was Daytona , winning by about 4 seconds. Of course running a level 37 Bob may have made it easier...

!@#$!%!$^!#^$!%@$#!^$%!#^&@*!^#%$!$

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I came in first or second on all courses and led the Jeff Gordon by 75 points in Championship Points heading into Daytona. This race is a complete crap shoot with cars shuffling around. At the start of lap 20 (final lap), I was in 12th and Jeff Gordon car in 11th. By now my tires are worn and BOB proceeds to use brakes at start/finish. No worries because I just need to hang with Gordon. Yea, right, Jeff Stig Gordon drives from 11th to 2nd in one lap, while I manage to get to 9th leaving me Silver Trophy in.

RANTS:

- For such an in depth game, the crew chief and B-spec in general is REALLY lacking, especially for NASCAR. You can't choose a "line". BOB could have a clear inside line, brake, then try to pass on the outside.

- DRAFT A FREAKIN CAR NUMBNUTS. If there is a double file in front of BOB and neither line is gaining on the other. No matter what command, BOB will thread the needle just sitting in the middle and lose ground. This is especially prominent on High Speed Ring where I'm guessing AI isn't programmed to prioritize double file like Indy and Daytona.

- I don't want to choose front and rear tires only. I WANT TO CHOOSE LEFT AND RIGHT TIRES.

- Damage. Where is it. My BOB is Level 21, but I want damage and I want AI damage. Anyone who has ever followed a single superspeedway NASCAR race knows that the slightest ding is catastrophic to speed. Jeff Gordon went from 11th to 2nd in one lap sporting a HUGE photoshop smudge tool dent in the front and lopsided rear wing.

HINTS:

- For those entering this race, change your oil/rebuild immediately before entering this race. From Indy to Daytona, my NASCAR had lost 42hp. I'm hoping it was just because I've run my NASCAR elsewhere and not that the car will lose the hp over the lengthy NASCAR series every time.

- Remember "Days of Thunder". It seems the only part of B-Spec that is remotely similar to real NASCAR is the mentality of saving tires, especially for the road races. To me, it really helps to just hang with the pack, even if that means trailing in 12th, until at least halfway through the road races. Being in 12th, don't panic and just let BOB's meter stay relatively cool. I like mine between 50-75%. During this slow time, you can observe which corner/straights are your BOB's strengths and which are his weaknesses. I only use "overtake" on his strongest sections. You will notice the AI cars to start slipping and sliding after the midpoint of each road race. Thats when you can start pacing up and overtaking. I used this method to gold Grand Valley, silver High Speed Ring, and 4th Laguna Seca (was in 2nd and was wrecked from behind on last turn).

This setting works like a charm, but there are few things to be aware of. First your driver has to be either Neutral or "Genki", or else in the Grand Valley race, he will drift like a mofo. Since my driver was "down", I had to use my formula GT to race "Like the Wind" for 4 times to get him to Neutral.

From then on, first race is easy job, since i had rebuild the engine and with fresh oil change, it has 894hp.

Second race, car has 892 hp. I was trying to use that cool off method till they wear out their tires, but i took the lead in the 2nd lap and just stay at the middle of the bar, is a walk in the park. And you will notice as laps go on, other cars will fade probably due to tire wear.

Third race, car has 888hp. The setting must has something wrong, the first left hander, the car's front wheels will skid in the middle of the turn and as the laps go on and on, lap times had been slower and slower. In the last couple of laps, basically cars caught up to me i had to pace up more often than before.

Forth race, car has 864hp. Pretty easy.

Fifth race, car has 850hp. Just remember to change your downforce, shouldn't be any problem.

Have fun and Enjoi!!!

dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

My driver took the lead on lap 6 after many overtake commands :P but after that the race was easy, just keep a steady pace and a win should be in the bag. I also noticed that my driver always understeered hard on the first fast lefthander, dont know if my setup caused it or low driver lvl because the rest of the competition took a much better line through that corner.

Race 4: Laguna Seca
downforce 50/70
gears: 280 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: -30/-30
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

Keys here are short gearing and high downforce... the race becomes smooth sailing after you get in front, just remember to keep some pace up

Race 5: Daytona Oval
downforce 35/50
gears: 380 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: 15/-15
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

This race was a nightmare before I found good setup for the car. These settings helped Bob to floor it properly and the race should go much easier.

im 11/12th position on the 14th lap at daytona...in my dale earnhart jr car...am i doing something wrong besides not winning

Daytona is tough but have you changed oil to get more hp from the car? Also keep the driver hot all the time by spamming increase pace/overtake.

Am I the only one who always seems to lose his rear right tire on the last lap of INDY everytime? I followed the settings provided but somehow the comps tires aren't nearly as bad as mine. :(

Race 3: High Speed Ring
downforce 50/70
gears: 350 km/h
lsd: 60/60/15
ride height: -30/-30
springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4
dampers rear: 8/4
anti roll bars: 4/4
camber: 2.0/1.0
toe: default
brakes: 1/0

springs: 18.5/18.5
dampers front: 8/4

anti roll bars: 4/4

toe: default

Worked like a charm! First try with these settings gold all across the board.... THANK YOU!

Now.... Onto to Formula GT!!

After reading this thread, I decided to just come back with a lv 38 bob, and I still have to babysit him, lol. This championship is annoying to say the least :P

My b-spec guy won at Daytona by about 3 seconds or so. Just give them full red the whole time so they don't brake.

Yeah, this is pretty much the steps to take all the way through the Indy and Daytona races.

Pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up, pace up.

:dopey: Bobs has a dumb. They brake corner in tiny curve at finish in Daytona. They have brain hurt.
