Life on Mars?

Has another picture been taken of this formation? The 'Face on Mars' was revisited, and the second picture revealed just another rock in place of the face. The 'City on Mars' has not been confirmed, however.

Perhaps the real life on Mars, if any, exists in the fact that it is fooling human-made robots with elaborate pranks.

Yep, its a mini green mermaid!.... or a mini green zombie (due to hand stretched out)...

100% certain...

Someguy the BBC Quoted
Poster "Madurobob" said it was a statue "obviously built by an ancient civilisation that later departed Mars and settled Denmark".

Brilliant quote!👍

Nasa HIRE THAT MAN!

I've circled two rocks which both have easily seen sides, but that seem to disappear in this picture due to sand on the top. Now imagine that the person-shaped rock is actually as I have drawn it in red. See what I'm talking about? The top of the rock may be covered in sand, but what we're seeing is an exposed side - not an oddly shaped rock at all.

Two different rocks, not the same rock.

Like Chris Rock and The Rock.

However, how could the figure seen in the foreground then disappear into a rock in the background of the picture?

Perhaps it's not in the foreground. It's not hard to stop seeing it in the foreground, you just have to look at it a little differently.

Are we all discussing the possibility of life based on a false colour photograph which shows a 4 inch high rock?

Crazier things have been discussed.......

also, is that a house brick center right?

Really if NASA thought it was something real they would do something more about it to try and make contact. Like I said, I'm a huge supporter that there is life on other worlds and I honestly believe there was life, civilisation, on Mars at one point in time over the 14 billion years the universe has been around. But one photograph is hardly proof or even worth getting excited about in my opinion.

Don't be too critical. That could be as much as 8 inches - which is much more respectable.

Next up: The moon landings were faked - just look at the reflection in the astronaut's visor!!11!1!one.

I guess that the region of interest is actually split level, and what we're seeing is the shadow of a rock or dust-covered incline, but the appearance of the shadow is 'split' by rocky ledge in the foreground... (the foreground being higher than the background)

Looks like someone dropped an action figure.

What atmospheric problems? Are you assuming that all life must use Earth-like atmosphere? Next you will say that creatures cannot breathe underwater.

Such an atmospherist attitude.

I'm just joking, but to assume that life must have conditions like ours is assuming a lot considering how little of the universe we can examine closely.

Now, if you said life, as we know it, then it is a totally different story.

I often wonder if our very close-minded views won't cause us to actually miss intelligent life when we do see it.

Okay then life as we know it, but considering people are interpreting this rock as a human like figure I didn't think I needed to put it. And yes, chances are we probably would miss intelligent life, as I doubt we know what we're looking for.

Of couse this rock could be a polymorph from Red Dwarf.

How did that get on here? That's the back yard of 539 Sycamore St. I'm a mason, we had to use red dyed sand for the mortar, two of the bags broke open. That brick, is a brick. The front & back yards both have fresh landscaping. Jimmy Hoffa is buried under the rose bushes.

yes there is life on mars or no there isnt
so whats the deal anyway?
what do it help to world's peace?:nervous:

Well, this would sort of answer the age-long question of 'Is there more intelligent life out there?' But, you know, it's just banter. It's just something we do to pass the time.

It's much bigger than you think.

Well, as there are many other important things than just world peace, it could be hugely important. Of course, this specific scenario is purely worthy of laughing about.

But if we had the mentality that stuff like that didn't matter half the world wouldn't be known about.

Plus, the big deal is that it means we are not alone, we are not special, and we would have to suddenly consider how we deal with another intelligent species.

Of couse this rock could be a polymorph from Red Dwarf.
And that would be awesome.

The world will come together to defeat the evil marshins!
Nah.

This is the first image ever taken of Earth from the surface of a planet beyond the Moon. It was taken by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit one hour before sunrise on the 63rd Martian day of its mission.
