Has anyone taken this stuff before? Its supposed to be a pill that sheds weight without any exercise, and my step-dad just walked in the door with it.

Maximum Strength Lipozene 1500mg per dose.

I'm a little weary of this kind of stuff, seems like a scam.

So anybody here have any first-hand experience with this?

It looks like the The Obesity Research Institute LLC (piss poor name, btw) is full of crap when it comes to the claims of effectiveness. I also love it when a supplement like this posts their weight loss stories and pairs it with something else like exercise, decreased caloric intake or both. Essentially, the pills typically do next to nothing. The weight loss comes from, surprise, surprise, more activity.

So its supposed to make you hyper so you end up bouncing all over the place in order to lose a few pounds? I hate things like this.

I guess I leave this crap to my Mom and step-dad.

EDIT: And thanks for the quick reply TB.👍

Usually when someone is motivated enough to buy some form of meds for weight loss, they're also motivated enough to start exercising or watching what they eat. Do the meds aid in the weight loss? Possibly, but just as easily it may be a placebo effect (you're taking the med, and (possibly unconsciously) watching what you're eating so you attribute the weight loss to the pill).

Personally when I'm looking to shed a few pounds, nothing beats eating less and moving more. I'm not talking about starving yourself and running a marathon-a-day. Simple little steps are the best way to go about it. Drink too much Dew? Cut back slowly until you can drop it altogether. The same thing can be done for any of your personal vises (mine is pizza, btw :D ).

Nice advertising slip there. I see what you mean though, maybe this will work out for them, I'm still not going to be trying it though because I've read elsewhere that it has some pretty bad side effects.

Oh and I almost posted in your weight watchers thread, but I don't have scale around that I can use.

Like that, did ya?

On occasion, side effects are worse than the affliction they are prescribed for. :ill:

Pick one up (or let someone else buy it and use theirs :sly: ) and start tracking with me. We have one of these, although I don't remember exactly which one. I'm really starting to physically feel better after dropping the last few pounds.

I'll see what I can do. The only trick will be getting my mom to allow one in the house, she hates them. She says she gets obsessed with checking her weight and then ends up getting depressed. I'll have to come up with a clever argument or a solution so she won't have to see it.
