The Camaro was a little slow to get up to speed but tops out a 190 in the draft. If no draft I was getting left behind. Handles great though so I guess it evens out.

To everyone in tonight's race ....
I completely enjoyed the event - my first lengthy event, and very glad I was able to get in. The car was heavy and slow, but drove easily and gave consistent lap times. I'll have to watch for RC to show up at the Dealerships.
Thanks for putting the event together ...... even though I got lapped, I enjoyed it.

That was a great race last night guys! It was really fun driving the Jaguar, once I got a few laps in I got pretty good at controlling it, though I did slip up a few times at Indy, and at the final chicane, as evidenced in the pictures above. I thought the car felt great with the bump up to 500hp, and I think I would have done a lot better if I wouldn't have messed up a few times. Fastest lap for me was a 4:02.023. Which was better than I thought I could do, I averaged around 4:04, though running the 7th laps on each set of racing hards was a little tricky in the slower corners. I hit a top speed in the draft of 197mph on the way to the first chicane on the Mulsanne straight. I managed on 2 pit stops taking 15 liters of fuel first stop, and 33 on the second. Just to be safe if we did that again I would take 20 liters each stop, as I was about one tick away from emptying the tank. I had a ton of fun and I'm really looking forward to next week!

No problem. I was pissed for most of the race but the apology is enough for me. One thing I did want to say though is I notice when someone is drafting you you weave about quite a bit. I think you're only allowed one move to defend so please keep that in mind for the future. Had some close calls behind you because you weren't predictable while drafting.

I don't think I would have been in the running anyways as my car ate tires like crazy. Once some of the fuel burned off I got 5 or 6 laps on a set but before that I was lucky to get 4. I'd start catching up for the first 2 laps then my car would slow down a lot and get almost impossible to drive. Shouldn't have let Dabney talk me into the Audi. All that extra weight seemed to burn tires. Oh well it was fun. I'd do it again if someone sets it up.

I also had a big problem with the Audi and the eating of tires. The most i could stretch it was 6 laps but by then I would have to go very slow in corners; i chose this one cause it corners very well, but it is a big handicap with the tires!

Also there was others doing the straights wavering to avoid others from catching and drafting; which it is against rules correct? That makes for ugly driving.

A question for everyone; would you prefer this be a championship series with points, or just keep it a fun race? Either way, I'd like this to remain a race car focused thing. Keep the cars for a month and then start a new cycle. Thoughts?

If we are keeping the cars the same we might as well keep the points. If cars change to say, the faster LM cars like Zonda and Ford, the reset point totals.

That's part of my question, do we care to keep track of points or just keep it informal? I'm just trying to see what will get more interest.

Points are fun, too!

I'd love it if we could work on the suspension and LSD, but I'll still race if we can't.

Personally I don't really care about points, because I don't get very many, but they don't make it any less fun for me.

Id love for this to be a championship by totalling points.

Also agree on changing the car class after each championship.

And I have an idea for tracks...
Would we be able to keep it just world circuits? To keep it more simulation

I'm not fussed either way on points to be honest. I don't mind if points are part of it, it's just not a huge reason for me to race :)

Agreed on the Race Car focus for sure 👍

Resetting after a month is a good idea. We can cycle through the two GT classes, LMP's, Touring Cars ...

Ok, I'm working on a new thread in the Racing Series sub-forum. I am going to have a monthly championship and change the cars every month. I would like to keep the races on real life tracks. We're going to stick with the same cars for the rest of this month, and I have a good idea for next month; 1998 GT1 Race Cars. There's only three, but with some engine limiting, there are a couple from 1997 and 1999 that would fit as well.
