Maybe its just my driving but there has to be a way of taming LMP's. At Le Mans you see cars zooming through the Porsche Curves, flat to the floor, with almost no hint of understeer or oversteer. On GT5 similar cars are twitchy and almost make you scared to floor it at some turns.

So apart from raising downforce (that has helped me), anyway to help with LMP's cornering speeds, allowing you to be more committed through corners? Any basic guidelines that can be applied to any prototype about suspension, camber, etc?

TCS :), Start off with it set high and the braver you get slowly start to lower it, I keep it set to 0 or 1 as im on a DS3 getting a fine balance of throttle is nigh on impossible.

I run TCS 5 at moment, and gradually turn it down.

your not driving the cars properly. Dont floor it, ever. These cars must be very twitchy in reality also but the drivers are amazing. Perfect control on the wheel and the pedals is key while alwyays being aware of the cars weight. Driving as smooth as possible without upsetting the super stiff suspension should help. I find gt5 makes people push way to hard in corners maybe because of the stupid training tests that really only make you a more aggressive driver, not faster. MYopinion

So maybe make the suspension softer to compensate?

Get rid the tcs. For lemans soften the suspension and lower the LSD to like10/10/20 to help the car. The only other thing you can do is practice throttle control.

the car already bottoms out im not sure how much softer is ok. i just did a few laps with r10 and max aero in back was giving me horrid understeer make sure this aint the problem, use tire load indicator and try to even out friont and back at speeds. u can also try opposite locks tuning sheet ive had decent results.

It's all about confidence , skill level , throttle control & a set up that's comfortable for your style . TCS will only ever slow you down in GT as we know as it's limiting your engine power to your wheels , thus costing you exit speed .

Previous posters are correct , throttle control & being progressive is everything . Suspension & LSD will vary from car to car as they are all different in handling characteristics .

Have you seen the GTP tuning guide before ? It's very helpful - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=204024

I start at 8/10/5 lsd, and this makes the car harder to spin out, the inside wheel will spin a lot before the backend swings around, very helpful.

Soften the suspension can help, but they're going to bounce a lot, period, so I recommend either extremely soft, or to not bother softening.

Biggest grip gains will come from raising the rear suspension as high as possible, along with the front. Hurts cornering, but improves rear wheel traction.
That's pretty much it, mostly being careful, I started just holding speed through turns and keeping from putting the hammer down until I was straight, it's a gradual and tricky pace to learn accelerating mid corner, so anyone having issues I recommend try waiting until corner exit to touch the gas pedal beyond 30-40%.

Thanks. That should help. Oh by the way 2:01 at Spa online in an Audi R8 '01 and 2:06 in the ORECA 908, they good times?

I think that CSLACR and me run times around 1:57. Can't really remember the exact times. (cars were fully modded)
