Lmp1 cars should be in a group of their own in my opinion they just dont go together with the Vision cars despite the vision cars being in tuned for the gr1 regulations.

If we are going to get group c prototypes i hope they dont get added into the gr1 mix.

Opinions about this guys?

GrC maybe? But doubt there will be many if any added so it doesn't matter to make a nee category.

Just look at the only Pikes Peak car, grouped with GrB.

It's a frickin mess. How dare they take the Group B name and make it a laughing stock.

We get it, people hate VGTs, they're not going anywhere though so stop asking for them to disappear.

Ah another user do doesn't want people expressing their opinion. Well done.

And that's not even what OP is on about.

The OP is not asking for them to disappear, only that they get grouped separately from the LMP1 cars which is reasonable.

Race cars from different categories and eras should be in their own unique groups imo, not just for the sake of balance but for authenticity as well.

PD most likely wants as many brands as possible to be represented in the different classes (kind of the point of GT Sport), so it's very unlikely for that reason too.

I definitely disagree. Group 1 is too uniform so I think diversity is great.

Speaking of which, I wonder if there’ll be a Gr.2 category!

I don’t understand why the GR1 system dosnt have a GR1HY sub section, like actual LMP1’s do.

I personally don’t mind the silly fake GR1’s from time to time as they can offer some nice viewing angles and are fun to drive, but I think they should be a step down from actual reality

Then PD should have made sure they had at least 10-30 genuine cars in each category when GTS went gold... & not take the lazy way by grouping different types of race cars together in a group.

I for one would prefer 10-30 actual lmp1s in a LMP1 category and 10-30 VGTs in a VGT category over the current GR.1 category.

What about those of us who think identikit LMP1s are about as interesting as beige slacks? I've no desire to use the various Audis or the Porsche, but the Gr.1 Bugatti I won is a sweet little number.

I'd prefer to see the Gr.1 grids plumped up with some older LMP1's and Group C's - as seen in previous GT games with a BoP equalizer in place and a separate group for the VGT's. But VGT's are a PD favourite, so i guess they'll be staying.

It works both ways.

On one hand it harks back to categories like Can-Am and Group 5 where the cars were visibly distinctive from each other with 2-4 different concepts being followed by all the manufacturers.

On the other hand It's probably good to separate them because the LMP1 cars are lost in the midfield and poorly represented even with BOP. These are cars that do the Le Mans circuit in 3:21 with race trim and fuel loads, they shouldn't really be languishing in 8th-20th.

Apart from the Bugatti VGT (because you have to admit, it looks abit out of place visually), I disagree. Hell, they are perfect candidates to be real life Garage 56 entries and seem quite feasible (though McLaren's idea of a forward laying driver is abit on the trippy side of thinking).

I fail to see how the LM55, Hyundai N 2015, SRT Tomahawk R, McLaren VGT and Peugeot L750R shouldn't fit.

Because they are VGTs, duh.

If their name would have been Hyundai N2025 lmp1, SRT tomahawk lmp1, McLaren lmp1,... If would agree with you.

If they keep this Gr.1 setup as it currently is, lmp1&vgt combined, Well... then i demand -but won't receive- all of the Red Bull fan cars from in GT5 & 6 because I personally feel this GR.1 category with mixed lmp1&vgts does not have the most ultimate race car...
I hate RedBull but love their GT fancars - they are by far the most fun car to fly around any track with.
