Wrong! IF u buy a Golf gti DSG u will have the paddleshifts standards, and u pay extra just for the "radio" buttons.

I can see why no one want's to give up... because both of you are kinda of right....

but trust me I ordered couple of weeks ago a golf gti, so I know all about it... wolkswagen website is not always clear on what's optional and what's not...

Oh and if u buy a 1.6 litres golf with dsg IT DOES NOT have paddleshift on the wheel unless u pay an extra on top of the cost of the automatic gearbox (which is extra!)

My dads is a 1.4 TSI - Didn't ever say it was a GTi... - which you kindof confirm in your last statement.

Why the hell does a 1.4 need 7 gears? Or did I miss something?

I realise that all this stemmed from my post when I neglected to consider that some cars use a sequential lever instead of paddles, but most of you need to grow up and stop the pointless arguments, and cut out the insults.
