Logitech G25 shifter problems

Hey all, today i went to play some rfactor with my G25 on my computer. So i started up the game and went to do a test and when i went to find first gear, nothing happened. the car stayed in neutral. none of the gears worked and neither did any of the buttons on the shifter. the green power light still comes on when the wheel is plugged in, but none of the buttons work. I tried it in control panel with the game controller section and the shifter was not registering anything. now i am not sure this is a common problem or not, but i have had my g25 for about a year and a half with no prblems and im not sure if this is an acutual issue with the wheel itself or the software running it. any help is apperciated. thanks.

edit: the pedals and the wheel work perfectly fine, just the shifter is not working

Hmm. Not sure if i can be of any help. but maybe check for updated software? also, try flipping the wheel around and checking that the connection for the shifter is properly connected. If you can also, try the wheel with a console. if it works on for example GT4 on the PS2 or GT5 on the PS3, then id be pretty relieved since it wouldn't be a hardware problem.

iv got a g25 and have 2 shifters in side it you will find a switch on each side of the shifter bar base this you can replace if you take it to a elec store

If you have it about a year and a half, I would suggest calling Logitech. Don't open it up. The G25 has a 2 year warranty.

zx6r2004, im not exactly the best with taking things apart...and i'm not about to open this up

kikie, i was reading through the warranty that came with the G25 and i think i tsaid one year...i could be mistaken though

It is 2 years. I had a problem with the shifter. Bought it in januari 2007 and I still got a new wheel from Logitech, 14 days ago. According Logitech the warranty is 2 years, so don't open it, don't try to fix it. Call Logitech first.

alright, i never had any intentions of opening it up anyways...thanks for the help though kikie 👍
