I lived in midwest for the beginnings of my youth into uoung adult hood-

if your from the midwest you should have seen almost every corp and large manufacturer leave the country and build their products over seas.

whats left ? How are the middle class non college educated americans suppose to buy a home? a new car? take a vacation ? Marry and have a family? Workimg for fast food chains do not support a family - those are college kid and hi school kid jobs not wealth building jobs. Americans need a path to success and manufacturing jobs can pay way more than burger king and have a path to grow as a person and succeed in this country

If you cannot see that and understand it - well ...... your part of the problem - trump is the solutiom

If it’s up in Canada also then it can’t be related to Trump.
There's at least two reasons that it could...

... if it's gone up, that is. Currently it starts at CA$1199, which is ~$850.

Do you think having an additional tax levied by the US government on the American consumer will increase or decrease sales (given that the US represents Logitech's largest market (36%), and 81% of sales in the Americas region)?

If you suspect it might decrease sales, what's the quickest and easiest way for that company to regain lost revenue or profit?

I mean, I'm not saying this would definitely be something Logitech Canada would do, but it's a fairly straight forward example of how international businesses may react to the massive disruption, chaos and uncertainty being caused at the moment... it would be naïve to think there aren't going to be global repercussions.

Perhaps buying from an American company would be a good start? Corsair just bought Fanatec, the wheel's probably still made in Taiwan, but at least it's an American company creaming the profits.

Regardless, there seem to be a few things that could affect prices in Canada. Logitech's major distribution centers are currently in the US and Europe. It's possible the goods come in to the US before they are transported to Canada.

The next is Logitech will have to decide how it changes prices, how much of the tariffs it passes on to the consumer. I wouldn't entirely rule out some of the cost being passed on to consumers in other countries or the effects of counter tariffs.

I don't know Logitech's Logistics chain but it could simply be that they are imported to the US before being forwarded into Canada, thus adding the tariffs there as well.
