That's a setup issue.
Too stiff dampers/ bars and springs

Well, on my Alpine the suspension is almost as soft as it can be. Around 2.5kg/mm in the front and 1.9kg/mm in the rear. I increased the ride height a bit and the damper and roll bar settings are at 1. Of course, with 710 kg it's a really lightweight car so maybe even the lowest settings are too stiff for it?

I'm going to try a heavier car tonight, I'll let you know how it goes.

Edit: This problem only goes for gravel, on snow it's much better.

I've tried force feedback strength on my G27 after the new update today but still is too weak for me :-( I was driving with FFB on 10 before the update. Seems they did not change it again.

Take a look at the survey... the majority doesnt want them to change it...

Yes, I understand and the new FF model I like also. Only PD could release a little bit more FFB torque like we had on G27 before and so I think the rest should be fully happy also with the changes.

The poll is misleading IMO, the 2nd and 3rd categories are both unhappy with the FFB.

36+17 = 53

I'd say they're pretty close. And I bet not many of the 60 people who are happy have driven any of the problematic cars (Lotus 97, Formula GT to name a few).

The poll is misleading in that it takes into account three different wheels which share nothing but lock radius and a logo. How are people even entertaining the thought of this?

True, but I think the premise here is that something is different concerning all Logitech wheels by design. The G25 and G27 are very similar anyway and the DFGT suffers from the same FFB issues.

I played through most of gt5 and 6 with a regular controller. I just bought the DFGT wheel and used it for the first time in an all day marathon yesterday. I never used a wheel before the 1.12 update or hotfix. I absolutely love it and have been missing out. I have no idea what it "used to feel like." That said, I think the feeling and control is excellent and responsive. I have the torque at 4 and sensitivity at 7 after testing different combos, and that works great for me and my style.

I agree we could seperate all wheels and see satisfaction with the FFB, go for it.

I interpret it as Option 1 & 2 are positive. Yes a couple of cars need adjusting. The majority I think are happy with the improvements PD have made.

Took the 05 WRX Rally Car around Eiger last night at 8/8. It was weighted well on the seal, will test a few today.

Update on the gravel issue: I've tried some different suspension and force feedback settings. A stiffer suspension did make it worse, but more importantly it seems to simply be a matter of ffb sensitivity. I turned the sensitivity down to 4 (I use 7 on tarmac) and it fixed most of the issues, especially the rattle when travelling at low speed.

So I guess I'll just have to use different wheel settings for gravel than for tarmac.

Another thing that is missleading about the poll is that most people that are happy with the changes cant be bothered to come in here and vote unlike the people that are unhappy.... Because Im pretty sure there are much more people happy with the changes than what is showing in the poll.

No, the FFB of the DFGT is very good...T2-S2 for race cars with RH tires [to me].

I don't think the happy users are the minority judging by this poll,40 odd posts in 2 days says a lot.
The poll is skewed. It is useless. Provides no practical data to each wheel and that is what is needed. Not ANOTHER dumb general concensus thread.

Just as likely there is a fanboy phenomenon going on where the people who feel they have to defend PD at all costs are flooding the poll with positive results.

if you take the poll at face value 1/5 diehard fans of the game (I consider anyone still playing any game nearly a year after launch a diehard) are unhappy with the update. Since when is that positive or a good thing? Another 2/5 like the additional FFB detail but aren't happy with the wheel weight, again, not a positive result. Some of them have stopped playing.

I go back to communication on this. PD should be telling us what's going on, what they are trying to achieve, when they will make further adjustments etc. Being kept in the dark on such a fundamental element of the game for so many people leads to what we have here - anger, frustration, wild speculation etc. You'll never make everyone happy, but I guarantee there would be less grumbling in the fanbase if we weren't made to feel like mushrooms on the issues that are most important to the remaining fans of the franchise.

I assure you Im no fanboy and stopped playing GT as soon as I got Game Stock Car Extreme for pc and lately benn playing Raceroom experience after the latest update...

But trying GT6 after the 1.12 update made me enjoy the game alot more especialy due to the new FFB. Too bad about the sounds thought.

When you guys/girls setup your FFB to any wheel, do you set it so that it gives you the same wheel feel, or how the tires feel on any or certain surface, or a combination of both ?

I pick a car most similar to my real life car and set the strength to match the resistance I feel in my real car, without setting it too strong that I can't feel the subtle effects. I used to set it to 10 in my GT5P days, but I realized that was a wrong approach. In GT5 it finally clicked to me that you need enough strength, but not too much so you can also feel the subtle effects and spin the wheel around quickly enough when catching oversteers. Since then I've been using around 5-6. Until the latest update where 10 still feels like 1 on some cars :grumpy:

Im sure you also like to set the TV so that the image is 1/1 with what you see in your real car...

The problem comes when you dont have triple screens or a big enough TV.

Same happens with the G27/G25... they just dont have enough torque for you to feel all the info send to them with that much strenght.

I rather feel the curbs, the bumps, the oversteer and understeer, the brake lock ups... And I really hope they dont numb the FFB because its much more enjoable and informative and closer to what you get on a PC sim.
