Grabarz of Team GB. Best name ever.

Speaking of which, Anna Meares has a badonkadonk.

Kynard is making me laugh, he's very animated.. getting angry with the bar

Also finding his shiny black shoes & novelty socks quite amusing... dude looks like he's just stepped out of a suit but forgot to change what's on his feet.

I would've LOVED to see the race here in the states, but nope, NBC decides to play the mens diving prelims instead. >=(

You are aware that NBC airs different Olympic events on 4+ channels, right?

If you don't have cable, your SOL though.

Americans, take comfort in the fact that the next Olympics in Rio will be on your time zone, and we'll be the ones complaining.

I get the feeling they might adjust times to suit is a little better. Maybe no later than a 1am BST finish, but that's pure 100% speculation.

Anyone see the German guy who won the Discus gold medal leaping over the hurdles in celebration? Awesome stuff :D

Was pretty cool, yes.
Did Gerd Kanter of Estonia place?
He's my favorite disc thrower, since we in the U.S. don't have a good one.

Yeah, I know, but I wonder if it's even possible for Robles to weigh 165. Seems like the womens weight classes are way too light. They should at least go up to 90-91 kilos. The only way to be competitive is to be a tiny 4-foot girl.

I'm guessing they just clumped the +75s together, because there's less competition there. They could probably use an extra class or two.

On her blog, she wrote that at 275 she's at ~35% bodyfat and 179 lbs "lean" mass.

Huh? The men's pole vault is getting a bit odd.

And one with a dodgy pole

Video is probably UK only.

Apparently there is 13 competitors who qualified. Instead of 12.
They probably couldn't separate them. They gave out 3 bronzes in the men's high jump yesterday, and 2 bronzes in the men's Keirin.

Makes you think. They obviously have spare medals just in case. What happens to the unused ones?

3rd place. If it wasn't for Ehsan Hadadi, I would've had the trifecta!

I've never seen a pole disintegrate as much as that. I've only ever seen them snapping in 2 before. They said 3 bits but there were even smaller shards coming off it too.

Found on youtube for non-UK-ers.

I take it no-ones watching the BMX seeding then?

Tracks pretty awesome!, i'm rooting for Shanaze Reade. 👍

Watching it on and off, the track is fantastic. Such a technical and competitive discipline, it would be great if we could get a medal in it.

Ouch!!!! That looked like it hurt, good to see him get up though.

boiltheocean.

Yeah, looking forward Strombergs run too.

MarinaDiamandis.

Yeah, would be great to medal in.

Where did Shanaze Reed finish in the womens BMX then?? that took place earlier..didnt it??

The seeding took place about 10 minutes ago, and she was down in 5th I believe.

Aaaahhhh so this is NOT for the medals then? its only to determine the running order for the final run??
