Okay, so I was looking to join a league, but there are a few things that it would have to meet:

Weekend races.

The final race can't run past 9:30 P.M.

No damage. I suck at not crashing into walls.

Wide diversity of cars to race. I'm fairly rich in the game, so nothing's out of the way for me.

I have to have abs.

If there are any leagues that meet these requirements, I might would join.

Hi Dagger,

I think you'll find most series on this forum (the ones that have a good regular field anyway!) aren't very interested in setting damage off because it makes crashing not too much of an issue, which in turn means that those that crash are likely to disrupt other peoples racing. I would perhaps focus on being consistent and slower than faster and unpredictable - that's just my two pence/cents.

In terms of a club, I would certainly suggest Watermelonpunch's VCRC series;

Very accommodating, very friendly atmosphere, focus is more on slower cars that will be easier for you to control and, hence, not crash with. Always a good selection of cars and tracks too.

Hope that helps.

PS: Always helps to add your timezone to the time you're talking about.

Noted on the timezone thing. Eastern standard time.

It helped a lot, thanks. I've tried slower cars, but they're boring compared to going 200 mph in a boat on wheels (Veyron). They are much harder to crash, though. I'll have a look at the thread you linked.

I actually started my own about three days ago, but I just closed it. No one even really showed interest. I had damage off and tuning allowed though, that may have been a factor.

Thanks again.

Slower cars aren't boring when your constantly racing in a pack:)

See, I've never raced in a pack before, only A. I, people I would suspect are real racers, or people who absolutely know less about what they're doing than me. Pack racing seems a little dangerous (Virtually speaking of course) though. Aren't crashes common?

Anyway, just asked to join.

Not if you practice good racecraft...Turtle League has a Division A that allows you to use Driver Assisting Aids. Great guys too.. they are friendly and don't judge. Check them out or send me a friend request (SinisterSinner6).

They run too late for me.

Did my first league race. Came in dead last with a 4 second gap. Not sure I'm good enough to compete with real players yet...

I've been there before buddy, I tend to miss races as well because they do run late, where did you race? It's not only about winning, its also about learning...you will get better(trust me). I'm not that great either...but it's fun to drive and race alongside good guys..

Nurburgring Nordshliefe. In the 3.5 mil Abarth.

I meant minute in that last post, not second. And it was nurb in the old abarth.
Dude nurb is the toughest track! lol. Not having much experience and racing on the 'ring is tough as hell! You'll get better try some easier tracks with slower vehicles or like i said, do the Driver Assisted races with a league or club like TRL.

They have other clubs available as well, There is a thread in GT Online Clubs and Leagues that tells you the schedules for races held by clubs and leagues. Or you could form your own...which does take a bit to build up though...

Tried that, don't have the patience lol.

Not tough in a car thag barely passes 100 mph...

All about practice to be honest Dagger, didn't make the race today but don't judge yourself based on the time-gap. I've been playing Gran Turismo far too long and I know (having been in a few battles with him) KingKlingeling is an exceptionally quick individual and there's absolutely no shame in having him pull away from you :P. If you enjoy the game then just keep at it, when you start gaining the knowledge to battle wheel to wheel - which you will ONLY learn by battling wheel to wheel with real people, then you'll soon realise playing against AI is extremely boring in comparison!

AI was boring to begin with! And I would have taken next to dead last, but the guy who was in last backed out and put me in last.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head...
