I had a pretty good race against the AI it a Custom Race. I used the Gr.4 86 in a Gr.3 field to get my daily workout - not too difficult, but a lot of fun. the number of laps is based on the track selected and what is needed to just reach the Daily Workout requirement.

I know I'm not the first person to post a video, and doubt I'll be the last. However, I would like some input on the video. Video is something I just started to get into, so I thought I'd ask for input from the GT Community. I realize the GT Community can be difficult to please, but that okay, it's me a target to shoot for.

Please offer any comments you may have. Good, Bad, in-different, Thank you.

I only watched a few minutes, all I have time for... but, will be back for more...
Hope that says something.
Good job in my book.
Are you female? Not that it matters, just, seems our ranks are short, so, if so, Yay. (50yrs old and very happily married to my first, and only wife.)

Thank you 'cleanLX'. To answer your question, yes, I'm female.

The video itself is pretty good 👍
I noticed that there's some bgm. It's not in-game music so I assume you added it yourself there. Turn up the bgm a bit because I didn't really notice it until a bit later into the race.
That said, as with CleanLX, I haven't watched the full video yet. I'll watch the whole vid when I have the time

Yes, there is some bgm music that I added to help the video. I have it turned down so that the viewer can still hear the race sounds (engines, tires, transmission, as I felt it adds to video, maybe I was mistaken?

Thank you for your input. Any and all comments are welcome.

Of course the race engines and all are already good enough on its own, its just that if you're going to add something have it a bit noticeable (not overly loud, just enough) so that it serves a purpose :)

Here's my $0.02 worth ;-) It is toooo long and quite frankly boring. You are not some superstar or making an instructional video so to the average person it is just you enjoying yourself. Even some of the others here said they only watched bits of it as well.

My suggestion would be to do a highlight package and keep it under 5 minutes (3 would be better).

Also you need some title or description to get people to watch it in the first place. Then there needs to be a reason to continue to watch it. So it needs to be entertaining or instructional. How about adding some slow-mo close up action like they do on Moto GP racers where someone like Rossi leaves some big black marks on the road when he is sliding :-) Adding slow-mo crashes could be another one too.

Harsh words I know but you did ask for opinions :-)

As a play back video it's ok. Much better than what i could do, so there is that.
If I were getting into video editing, I would add some replays (different camera views) of the passes and close calls (thinking in particular of that outstanding braking into the hairpin, thought for sure there would be contact, but you stayed off) possibly in slow mo as noted above. Agreed on the length... watching a car run down the straights essentially alone... ehn. If that car has a run, or has getting run down it's entertaining, otherwise not so much... so, if there is action elsewhere on the track at that time, possibly focus there... or maybe skip ahead... don't know, may make it odd too. Guess I'm just thinking out loud now...
I like the BGM, but, maybe have it's volume ramp up as engine noise fades/cars get further away... and back down again once cars approach, or in-car.
Personally not a fan of watching crashes, but, judging by the popularity of NASCAR crash replays I seem to be in the minority. Either way, my opinion of crashes in the game is that they are so unrealistic they are not worth the time... maybe catch the error that started the crash, and follow the car off... and cut before it becomes ghosted... but as far as actual "collisions"... enh.

BTW, nice driving... the AI infuriates me and I end up making mistakes or being a jackolantern... often one resulting in the other.

That's my .02, but I'm older, and certainly not hip, or "with the times".

Maybe I'm not the target audience?
But I'm not sure anyone can gain anything from watching someone racing the AI. They are slow, make odd mistakes and take lines that make zero sense.

I liked the editing (from the quick glance) but I had it muted due to being at work.

I really liked the editing, all the information I like to see is visible (radar, inputs, steering wheel) I don't know what I'm looking at on fantasy tracks though, so can't comment on performance.
Real life tracks against people in sport races rather than AI and knowing what DR SR rank its in helps for watching out of curiosity.
A nice custom livery and playing on the female bit, maybe saying 'lets do this' at the start of the race, like the sexy voice of Abbie in Grand Tour :dopey:
oh, did I just type that.

No need for me to write this all out again. This is pretty much my feeling as well. It looks like you're trying to make something artistic and it appears well done but it's way too long, it needs a theme and a reason to watch. A hook or signature of some kind would also help. Playing up the female racer angle might attract a bigger viewing audience but then again, you'll have to put up with the usual, creepy YT comments from the basement dwellers:lol:

THAT IS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT!!!
delete it now, or I'm reporting you to your wife :D
was not meant in any silly way...
I like "women - in a mans world" ... Danica running IRL, then NASCAR... Shirley back in the day running NHRA...
I work construction, seen 1 female block layer... talked to the owner of the company about her, he said she was the best hire he ever made... hard worker, did excellent work, and any crew he put her on all of a sudden performed way above expectations... Seen a few female welders, foreman always say, best welder we have... seen a few female pipe fitters and millwrights... impeccable work.

Edit to add: So, any female in a mans world I have run across was not there just as another employee, rather because they were one of, or, the best.
