Ahh ofcourse, I got muddled, I don't know what with but there you go.eliseracerWrong. They are developing their new Versatile Vehicle Architecture chassis sytem as the Elise chassis is a good 10 years old. Expect to see Elise spinoffs (the Circuit Car, Europa S) with the tub, and the VVA will house their larger cars, such as the next Esprit, the real 2+2GT car, and many more possibilities.
el flexoi personaly quite like it, but it reminds me of a vxx220
It's pretty subtle, not much of anything; just a trend in the lights/indicators and the shape of the front intake. The Europa and S1 Elan had it, the 7 sort of did, some Elises more then others. The Esprit and FWD Elan don't seem to have it at all (except the Esprit's front intake).live4speedLotus don't have a corporate front end, they design each car individually. It's just recently they've done the track day car which issimilar to the Elise.
That sort of attitude lands manufacturers with dud cars that wreck the brand.eliseracerI was right in the beginning, how this is a Proton car (their Elise). Proton decided to scrap the plans after developing everything, and handed the car back to Lotus. Hethel won't lose money, they haven't spent anything. They can only win.
live4speedIt's actually prety similar to the original Europa imo, not great looking, small mid mounted engine, 2 seats and it's a proper coupe. I think Lotus calling it a GT is wrong, because it's going to be far too sporty and rev happy to be a GT imo. And I doubt it'll have the luxuries of a GT with the weight being so low as well. It's a proper sportscar, not a GT.
