I have read lots of tune/setups on here but very little for the Lotus Evora. I have it minimally tuned and my level 11 bob is doing 1:15.418 with Sports Hard (required for the race) on Eigen Norwand Short Track. I know there is a lot more that can be done to help the Evora out. Here is what I purchased for the car:

GT Auto:
Oil Change
Front & Rear Splitter (your choice)

Tune Shop:
Window Weight Reduction
Weight Reduction Stage 3
ECU Tuning
Engine Tuning Stage 2
Sports Intake Manifold
Racing Air Filter
Sports Exhaust Manifold
Catalytic Converter Sports
Titanium Racing Exhaust
Fully Customizable Transmission
Twin Plate Clutch
Semi Racing Flywheel
Adjustable LSD (possible not necessary)
Fully Customizable Suspension
Sports Soft Tires (for when the races allow)

The Tune settings are as follows:

Transmission - set the top speed to 205 (defaulting in the rest of the values)

Adjustable LSD:
Initial Torque: 15
Acceleration: 40
Deceleration: 21

Suspension: (front/rear)
Ride Height: -20/-20
Spring Rate: 7.5/10.3
Dampers Extension: 5/7
Dampers Compression: 5/6
Anti-Roll Bars: 4/4

Wheel Alignment: (front/rear)
Camber: 3.5/2.0
Toe: -0.17/0.25

Brake Balance: 8/4

I am still working on this tune and I will make adjustments. I would love all your opinions if this is good/bad or not.

Note: The Engine Tuning Stage 3 yields 475hp - there is no turbo or supercharger available for this car.

I have been fighting with this tune for a long time tonight. I don't know how you tuners do it. No matter what I change it either causes understeer or oversteer and lots of slip outs with the rear. This is driving me crazy. Can somebody help me get this tune right?

I have updated the Tune with my latest attempt at controlling the Evora. I could only manage 1:09 (low) times on the Eiger Norwand Short Track. I still have under-steer issues and the back wanting to slip out.

Any help in getting this car dialed in would be great! This was tuned using a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel.

I used sports softs/mediums, but my tune is a bit different. I set the braking lower, 4/2. I think you have to remember this is a mid-engined car so a steady correcting of the steering helps a lot. If you hold it on line it wants to oversteer and the back end will slip. But if you readjust slightly it helps a lot. Gentle throttle too. And when braking it seems you can't turn much or else it'll slide. Especially with ABS off.

That is the problem. I don't have a gentle foot - lol. Please post your tune settings. My tune is not the greatest out there and I definitely need to learn how to properly drive a MR car. I will adjust the braking later today when I can get back to GT5. Thanks for your help/input!

I have not tried your tune (dont have enough credits at the moment), however from what your saying and a glance at your tune I can see why you may be having oversteer issues. The Lotus evora is an MR car so you have to take that into consideration. The weight balance is more toward the rear axle.

What I would suggest is softening the rear all around to tame the oversteer. Running stiffer springs, dampers, and roll bars in the rear in a MR car typically results in oversteer. Try reversing your suspension setup. Set your spring rates to 10/7, Damper Extention to 6/5, Damper Compression to 5/4. You may also want to stiffen your anti roll bars and set it to 6/5.

Your camber is probably also excessive 1.0 up front is more than enough and 0.8 or 0.9 in the rear should be good. Too much and it becomes counter productive. As for toe, you can remove it completely from the front and set it to 0, the rear setting should be fine.

Brakes are really up to preference but the balance might be off. Try 7/6 or 7/5. Also in relation to braking your deceleration diff you may want to mess with between 20 and 30 to find what suits your driving style. (The higher the number the more stable braking becomes, too much and you will understeer).

Hope this helps, it is off the top of my head, so it may not work perfectly. Especially because I havent actually driven the car to know how extreme the oversteer is.

Sorry for the long post, hope I didnt intrude.

Thanks for the input - I will try reversing the front/rear settings like you suggested later tonight if I have time to get on GT5. Been a crazy buzy day.

I really do like the Evora and would love to get a tune on it that I could actually drive it effectively. Right now I am just constantly fighting it.

I was looking for some tuning suggestion to improve on my Time trial 3, times and this thread has helped. I thought the car handled pretty well stock and I am not sure the feeling of the handling has changed much with adjustment but I do seem slightly faster.

The min spring value is 10 for this car. I tried your suggestions and used 12/10 for springs. Handling feels pretty stable to me - not easy for me, but not out of control.

Thanks.
