I just finished the GR1 1 hr Endurance race easily on first try. I'm wondering why I had zero trouble with the AI not even second place. Usually the AI will get boost if your going too fast and smoke your fastest lap. My setup was using the Audi R18 TDT 11 with 941hp, 1174 tq, 1746lbs and racing soft tires. I used normal fuel pit every 7 lap tires and got fuel every other pit. Im guessing since I was was too Op the AI didn't even try because it didn't even beat my fastest lap and I won by 57 seconds.

I haven't done the race myself but in general it can really depend what cars the AI have. For example I was doing the mid engine Pro GT League race at Interlagos and most cars I could beat by about 30-40 seconds but there was one, can't remember which, that was really difficult to beat as as soon as I got within 2 seconds it would get a massive boost in speed.
That and there's always the possibility that with all the updates the game has had since release that they haven't been properly balancing the AI potentially making them slower.

I remember doing it with a stock Porsche and the AI beat my best lap by 3 seconds. So embarrassed.
