I suggest that you increase the given final gear ratio by 0.050-0.100 to compensate lower power of used car.
And if that causes griploss you can increase the gear 1's value so that it "boosts" less the 2nd gear. The launching gear.
I'm not saying that the used Cougar will be as fast as the new one, but It won't be far off
