Mach 5

Am i the only one that would love to see it in GT? I remember when i was young playing GT1 back in the day, and always thought it be fun if the Mach 5 was in the game. I mean i am not sure for some people, but i actually think if it was not for Speed Racer ((MACH A GO! GO!)to others) i might of not gotten into cars at such a young age.

Well, one of the major US motoring magazines claimed to have driven a virtual Mach 5 thanks to PD. They said this a couple years ago but we haven't heard anything since.

well i know i think it be awesome if it was in the game. it bring back some memories and i wouldn't have to dig up my play station 1 game of Speed Racer just to drive it. lol.

....it was from a cartoon so that might explain that. but then they made a movie about it called speed racer. dosnt ring a bell at all?

Oh my goodness that movie was so crap But I used to watch the cartoon growing up, so I think it'd be pretty cool to have the Mach 5 in the game.

^ I like Speed Racer Anime (I still have to watch the Milfune JDM-spec Mach Go Go Go). The only I got irked when I was a kid, the TV station didn't show the series in chronological order.

^ I agree with PJ. If the Nike One made it on GT4, plus this car can be performed realistically in GT's world, it would be a good option.

If we are going to go down this route we should have things like the Lexus 2054 and the Audi RSQ. They would be much more worthy being in the game (being real marques) and you could even have a concept / movie car race series. GT already loves having wacky protoypes in their games.

Im really curious how they will simulate the Mach5 in GT5 if it will be included.
Isnt there also a real life version, based on a Corvette with a V8 engine?

haha did i read the Mach5 "at a glance" performance notes correctly? 0 - 60mph in 0.6s!?!? 0 - 1/4mile in 2.6s!?!?

OMG I want a Torana in the game (that's a real car by the way, it just had a paint job and body kit in Mad Max). Actually I'd love if all the Mad Max cars were in the game, because they're all classis Aussie cars I dont see why Herbie can't be in the game... though I wouldn't list it as "Herbie", I'd just say the original VW Beetle should be in the game with a paint job If the game had a livery editor and a VW Beetle, someone would make a "Herbie" anyway.

well i am just glad to see i am not the only one that grew up watching it and i know the anime/cartoon aired originally before i was even born i remember it coming on after space ghost coast to coast on cartoon network before adultswim took off.
