Worry not, my worthy competitors. The beast will be tamed in time..:mischievous: oh, and Lotus Omega/Carlton will be on my tuning list.

Bhadra, I don't think we even went down that aisle at the store for traction with our car, I mean.........Oh yeah we bought some of the cheap stuff :sly: Either way, should be fun.

Edit: If you and Greycap are both making cars like this then I suggest a different kind of challenge, a truer showdown between our garages (not a once and for all thing, just for fun you know) It turns out that soon enough we will be releasing many cars and 2 of those are both big sedans with forced induction. (No we aren't copying you, we have been talking about one of them for a few weeks now and the other one was meant to be done months ago but we never got around to it, now we have) You can probably guess what they are, one me and dimplz made together and the other one I'm making I believe by myself. So here's the challenge, we both run both our cars at some random track (not GVS or Nurburger) and we take the average lap times of our two cars. The garage with the lowest average lap time between the two wins. What do you say, pretty neato idea eh? Are you up for it?

Which is now 2 days away, 2 days and many cars will be released for everyone in both our garages.

Ah, and I have already built a high power sedan...

Long ago, when Mallender Racing was still open, I did a tune for Aussie Tuners. The MRAT FPV GT.

Full power and IIRC, S2s.

Mayhaps a rehash of that will appear eventually.

Maybe, but why didn't you give it some of the extras like Carbon driveshaft and S3 tyres. Maybe we could improve it that way.;)

I'm against carbon-fiber driveshafts most of the time.

There's rarely the strength needed. Maybe on a 200-300hp car, but that's a big ass 5.4 with monster torque. So stock driveshaft.

And it corners better on S2s.

Bhadra, they aren't going to snap in a game or something wierd, I'll just buy it and see what I think of the car, keep an eye on AT for a review.

So? I'm against the idea.

Back on topic: COME ON ALREADY!

I want power!

You can be against it, I never said you couldn't be, I just want to give you a review mate, one of the cars at AT I haven't driven yet, like I said keep an eye on AT for a review:tup: MFT, can I take a guess at what your car is? Any more hints?

MFT, can I take a guess at what your car is? Any more hints?

Is that not on topic, it's the topic of large high powered RWD sedans at the moment, besides it's not like I'm posting a review of our car on here.:dunce: Anyway, if MFT agree to the challenge I put out then our cars are almost as involved with them as their cars are. Should be a close race by the sounds of it. Are you guys doing an M5? There, that's my progress guess.

M5 might be somewhere in the future plans,, but at the moment, about the current cars.. M5 simply doesn't have the torque, even though it has plenty of power.

Honestly, I've never driven it in the game, I just don't like the car on general principle. It's one of those things where when someone asks you 'why?' you have no real rational answer. I just ... don't. Antiquated styling, the type of person who drives it (at least here in America), and the fact that the godawfully new-age-catchy Sting song was in the commercial contribute, but that shouldn't be enough to hate it. Yet, somehow I do. I'm the same way with the EVO. Fantastic car from a reasonable perspective. But as a Subaru owner and enthusiast, it's just somehow in my DNA to hate the EVO.

The stock gearbox of the S-Type is great for cruising around and having fun but when the racing gets serious the ratios quickly become awkward. The first two gears are way too short and the last two gears are way too tall. With power upgrades the advantage of the seamless shifting loses its importance and a well tuned racing gearbox proves superior. More gears that can be really used and to remove all doubts, better performance.

And who hear likes automatics, sure they're slowly becoming better than manuals, but would you drive one if you had a choice? They're the lazy man's option in most cases and actually contribute to less alertness at the wheel of a car and cause accidents because the driver doesn't have to concentrate as much. So then, does this mean you are making a Shaguar guys?

Yeah, lucky me though I don't have to put up with traffic jams in most of Australia, each day is a sunday drive to work. You poor poor American, I truly feel sorry for you on that field. Sorry Leo and Greycap, we keep getting off topic don't we? So, just one more day until the Unleashing begins.

Properly modelled automatic, maybe, well yes, but it's no good in racing use. The fully customizable manual transmission is just better. About real life, I've learned to drive with a five speed manual and see no reason to ever buy an automatic. The manual has all the technical advantages - better performance, complete control of the car, easier fixability, cheaper to fix. And a lot more fun in hard accelerations.

And yes, we'll release that Jaguar. I will, to be exact.

So it IS a big kitty... w00t!

I seriously see no reason not to keep the stock tranny... I just like it the way it is.

Sue me.

Nothing is stopping you from keeping it but the car will lose quite a bit of performance as the second gear is too short for exiting slow corners, you'll either suffer from a lot of wheelspin or be forced to use the third which will hamper the acceleration. The same goes for long straights, the shift from the fourth gear to the fifth drops the revs so much that it takes several seconds too many to get anywhere near the power peak. The sixth is downright useless.

Speaking of the power peak, this car has one of the best engines I've ever seen - great amounts of torque throughout the rev range combined to a steadily rising power curve that reaches its peak near the redline.
