It's interesting, Kaz posted "I apologise" for the delay in Japanese on his Twitter account. All the Japanese people responded with comments along the lines of "No problem, thanks for working hard to improve the game and remove mistakes". All of the English language responses are complaints and people telling him what to do.
Just an interesting cultural difference. I live in Japan and generally people strive to be positive and cheerful.
I dont know about your culture but Im not going to be positive when they are nerfing the already bad credit grinding.

Perhaps if this apology was in the language of all customers and was attached to the maintenance notice on gran-turismo.com it would be easier for english language responses to be positive and cheerful.

**** happens - it is how it is dealt with and communicated that determines peoples reactions

Well the official account apologised in English. I guess most people didn’t notice or accept it.

Definitely bad timing with your new wheel arriving.

So you expect him to apologize in ~7000 languages? :dunce:
😀 fair enough

But perhaps in english as a follow up to this >>

😂 some one needs hamd their notice in, should be the CEO for more *****, but thats ok because he can sponsor **** and give trophys out 😂 needs give his head a wobble.

Yeah so annoying that GTS was shut down 13 days ago :banghead:
Well with GT5 and GT6 they do have a track record of closing down servers very quickly after the release of the following title. So it would not be surprising at all if GT Sport will be down within a year

I’m pretty sure you’ll get over it, well I’d hope so any way.
That said, it does sound a bit life and death for you!
Be strong
look if you paid for something it has to work under trading standards, cant get a refund because its these idiots and not the disc, not life and death im not being taken for a mug. so dont try telling me what i will or wont do. good job Gov is investigating the way you get a refund for ********! all games will soon be hit as it takes 25 power stations just for pc games around world, global warming bs will soon fk it up. so just get what you can while you can.

I hope they saw the rage about the grind races reward drop and are busy upping the prizes for all races. One can dream. I guess that's half the game.. I currently dream of an engine swap for the Beetle and Samba I'll probably never win.

Saw this on the official GT website;

Google Translate;

We will extend the server maintenance end time of "Gran Turismo 7" scheduled today.
Please wait for a while until the maintenance is completed.

Please note that online functions including sports mode will not be available during maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
how do i get a refund for this crap! to do work as extended work you need to give prior notice or compensation is due for money lost. paying for exactly the same vehicles 😂 you must think players are gullible.

They are taking us for mugs selling a game that is flawed

Well I'd say these are pretty similar;

I don't know why but despite all of this I kinda feel bad for PD. Something major has obviously happened, maybe it's in corellation with the earthquake?
I'm still bummed they nerfed the payouts and the decision to always online lead to this but man, until I really know what happened I don't want to assume anything.

No, they said they found a bug in the patch. There is nothing wrong with the servers, the problem is with whatever they put in the 1.07 update and now we're presumably going to have to wait for them to cobble together another one.

They're not actually doing maintanence on the server, that's just the catch-all phrasing they use whenever the game needs to go offline. If they let people just play with the 1.07 update they would probably run into some sort of catastrophic problem.
