The last update got rid of the hybrids.

It was supposed to and it killed the good side of hybriding (swaps and simple power modifications), but all the hidden parts and certain power multiplicators still work.
It'd be a shame to have those disappear though, personally I've spent time on working out methods to get decent (as in realistic, fun to drive) mods back and I was successful. My UnderGroundRacing Gallardo replica in 2.11 was better but to feel the raw power and just feel the joy of driving a very powerful (1500HP) twin turbo Gallardo is great fun.
On the other hand, with GT6 coming soon, I'll revert GT5 back to 2.11 sooner or later anyway, to have fun with hybrids, and keep GT6 for online play.

Is anyone having trouble connecting to the servers now, or is it just me? This "gamestop refurbished" super slim ps3 is about to get traded in for a fat or regular slim. I've played on all three ps3 versions and this is by far the worst! Even with 70% wifi signal I get problems

Don't know what the maintentance is about, too focused on GT6.

There wont be any new DLC for GT5, that would make no sense, they only have time for GT6 now ( rightly so ), just server maintanance im sure or killing the last of the hybrids.

The servers have had weird issues off and on since they had those 3 maintenance periods in a row before the 2.12 update. Maybe Prism isn't agreeing with GT5's p2p system
.There has been a ton of issues the past two weeks. People being signed out of PSN, multiple people dropping from rooms at once, rooms crashing, people being black screened, people can't see each other on the track, cars jack hammering, etc. If this is the way GT5 will be left or the way GT6 plans to do things I think I may be moving on to other sims.

All of those issues have been going on for two years, they haven't fixed them yet and never will.

Yeah, making cars look better by removing the stock wing, swapping the sound on race cars that have terrible sounds how they come in the game and being able to replicate that tuner car you always dreamed off in your wet dreams is TOTALLY A BAD THING.
It's what you make out of it. My friends and I do not race, we cruise and appreciate cars in GT5, and hybriding certainly extended that aspect by far.

I'm hoping it's not having to do with the last couple of mods available... I'm going through hundreds of paint codes and it would suck to have wasted all that time if they patched it. (and no, not DLC paints for anyone that has to find something wrong with what I'm doing)

incorrect sir, there is such a thing as productive hacking such as adding cars, fancy paint jobs with more sticker graphics and body kits. thats what I would do if I knew how access these files. Its the chicken s**** out there that don't know how to play a video game is where it becomes a bunch of horse s*** (seriously, what the hell iis anyone gaining by having an unfair advantage? boohoo, you can't win a race, somebody should call a waahmbulance)

Right. Illegally modifying game data and hacking was of course a great thing. If you don't like whats on the game don't play it.

For a lot of people, it was. It breathed new life into the game. As for the last statement, you can say that all you want. There are people who refuse to update to 2.12 and are still hybriding. People will get away with doing anything they want to the game offline.

The fact that I cannot even win a race anymore without being called a hacker is proof that it did the precise opposite of that

How about you stop putting words in my mouth? Nowhere did I say the game was improved for most people. It is a fact, however, that more people enjoyed the game because of hybriding.
