Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen 

Wife just reminded me she is having a massive hen party of friends to watch some British actor they all adore - tomorrow, of course straddling the race time completely. How dare she! Isn't racing pretend cars in a video game more important??

(This is completely farcical - she tolerates enough of me as it is)

I shall be unable to attend - and I was really looking forward to it, honestly, but, I need to share TV and leisure time and keep up with Dad Jobs and the Honey-Do's. After all... Ain't nobody happy if Momma ain't happy, and all that jazz.

Well.. I don't know if you understand the concept of a 24 hour race but it's a race that goes on for 24 hours.. from saturday to sunday.. so I'd say I'm unlikely to make it to the VCRC enduro. :P

Lol, of course I understood , but I dont know when you start ! Lets say you'll start saturday 10am till sunday 10 am , vcrc starts sunday 11am , 1 hour is enough to get a shower , food and a quick nap :D:D:D
 
11AM? Vcrc starts at 10:00 pm est time. I know you're more than an hour ahead of the east coast of USA when you're all of the way in Europe.

Well problem is I'm not doing it at my place. We're a three man team using one PS3 so we'll be at their place and that's a couple of hours from my place. So even if it ends before VCRC (it ends 15:00 GMT sunday) I wouldn't get home in time and would probably not want to play Gran Turismo any more that day. ^^

I've been busy, and caught some kind of a bug this week - a bad cold. 👎

Not to mention having to drive each day on continual, ice, snow, slush, freezing rain, cinder & gravel, and gargantuan potholes!!!

The city I live in was last month called the 17th worst medium size city in the U.S. for road conditions. With the bad winter weather of freezes & thaws, the conditions of the roads, which were always bad, have become hugely worse.
I had my wheels aligned the other day, and I should post the before & after numbers here of the toe & camber, because it was quite bizarre!! My front wheels wound up pointing in different directions. Of course caused by all the rumble & bounce of constantly hitting potholes - which are impossible to avoid when the streets are narrow with piles of snow.. and there are so many potholes many times it's just a matter to choose which one to hit at any moment.

I downloaded the livestream app for my tablet , could you tell me youre team name at N24 race , because I will take part of it as a spectator .

oh and @watermelonpunch , I do really hope that the weather and street conditions are getting better for you . and I hope youre car will stay alive in this rally dakar you're talking about :cheers:

The weather in the tristate area has been simply awful :yuck:. Nothing but snowstorm after snowstorm. We just can't seem to catch a break. I believe that I saw that New York has had more than sixty inches of snow during the winter so far! It makes me sad :(.

we'll be "Gothic racing empire" in the race, have created a psn-Account just for this race. :P

Melon, hope weather and cold gets a bit less nasty soon. Wouldn't want our beloved leader to be out of it for too long (remembering the sudden end of all those organised vcrc races in gt5 makes me sad)

It does sound like you've been getting some good practice for the Dakar rally:)

Did you convert your Toyota Celica to 4WD to give yourself a winning edge?

Here in Massachusetts, the pot-holes are likewise growing to immense proportions, as is their tendency every year, so track knowledge is important during my daily commute.:D

This is just 2 weeks... so I've only had a few hours "seat time". :rolleyes: :lol:
(too much frankly! :ill:)

Thing is... it's been taking me 25 to 40 minutes to drive 4.5 miles (5 at most). :boggled: :crazy:
PA's roads are just really bad even without the weather. We've had huge potholes & bridges out and tons of detours for a few years now. :crazy:
The weather has just been a "bonus" :irked:
 
I will not be racing today, my son needs my help getting more data on his science project. Although he has two others helping him, I am not letting them use his trebuchet unsupervised! (250+ meters for a lacrosse ball)
