Regarding GT4 wheels... I think I've quoted this image like a dozen times on GTP already and I'll never stop quoting until we get something similar again in GT.

It was... amazing. I really hope PD does it again in GT6.

Steelies. On. Everything! :D

I used to speed things up just to buy and put the red SSR's(second in line 12) on all my small cars. I hope the Gold BBS make it back. The black and the chrome Professor SP1's were sweet. My favourites are the FPV OZ V8 Supercar wheels line 7; the GNX wheels; the Watanabe and Jaguar XJ220 LM wheels also on line 7; '71 Skyline GT-R steelies; and the BMW V12 LMR wheels.

I loved putting those gold spoke wheels on old cars

It also looks like widths and diameters may also be an option.
I can't wait to see this in multiplayer lobbies

I truly miss those RAYS rims from Nismo R34 R-tune or R32 S-tune!
In GT5, I could hardly find a rim choice that could fit my liking for my R34.
Hope they could make a return in GT6, and with different colours, width and diameter to choose from! :)

I liked those wheels so much in GT4 that they're now on my real car :)

I hope to see something similar in GT6 for sure.

Most of those wheels look pretty hideous, to be honest. Plastic hubcaps for 1980's Japanese cars are not a favourite of mine. 40-50 rims should do it, with the option of painting them any colour, as well as changing diameter, and possibly width.

I don't understand this arbitrary limitation when the wheels were already being automatically scaled in diameter and width for GT4. Every wheel in the game should be available to us, the only reason not to is for prestige, exclusivity or marketing reasons.

Just do like what FM does and have it at like a 20" cap. I think they have something like that? It's been forever since I've played Forza.

I am glad they got they got more rims and you could choose the width of it

Well we don't know that for sure quite yet, although it was implied.

Still, that could just be a selection of wheels from cars that they happened to choose to show that wheels have different widths, not that they'll be width change-able.

Which would mean nothing is any different than how it is now.

I think it will make a come back. As you can see from the picture of the presentation at Silverstone, the wheel list has the Alfa Romeo 8C wheels, 86GT wheels, and possibly more. It also looks like widths and diameters may also be an option.

large

In the top row there are 3 of the same rim. The one on the right is a different diameter than the middle and left. On the bottom, one of the TE37's is without a sticker on the spoke. I hope it leads to choices and styling like this

Has the pic been removed? It isn't loading

I used to put the Buick GNX rims on everything

Exactly what I hope for.

I thought having the aftermarket wheels was a nice touch, but I lost interest quickly. Being a racing game, I was more focused on the racing, not so much how the car looked when I wasn't in it.

I could be wrong, but N2-spec Corollas are far removed from the GT300-spec car that the BP was. Though it should be noted; that car should absolutely be brought back.

Manufacture rims are one feature I really would rather PD look the other way for, reality-wise; who cares if I've technically got 16-in versions of the R34 rims on an S15? If the game does let us change dimensions of the rims, I'd love to see PD allow that for manufacturer rims too 👍

You're correct about that, but I couldn't find the yellow/white or red/white AE86 RM one with over fenders that looks like the N2 version.

I know this has been posted before in the tyres physics section but have any of you seen this?

"(Polyphony) are really moving ever more into the hardcore sim environment... They are actually now modeling things like sidewall flex and actually looking at the way different tires would grip the road; be they old fashion cross plys; be they modern radials; be they slicks... If you've got a car that's running on old fashion high-sidewall tires, even if it's got the same amount of grip, it's NOT going to handle the same way. And they've modeled all of that... snip...You can get new wheels for (a car). You get the new wheels, it's not to make it look different, it will make it handle different with the new wheels... (adding larger diameter wheels) will change the way it handles."

Taken from here.

does anyone else miss the "today's special" area of the rim shop in gt4 (different manufacture rims including all full race cars) and hope for a similar rim shop in gt6?

yes!!!!!

Whoever owns that gold Camaro needs to be shot. Several times.

The strong possibility of tire width adjustment excites me, no more horrid offsets!

This is great news. I love taking some of the standard classic cars and putting wheels on them, but sometimes a '+4' job seems to get done on them. My Alfa Romeo GTV doesn't look right with 18s on it.lol

No one needs to shoot him XD , his neighborhoods probably bad enough! What really ruined that car was the god awful pot pan lid rims.. :yuck:
